  1. Works great on my MS 1763 barebone, thanks alot for sharing!
  2. Flashed and success! Many thanks to Klem for sharing vBios for GTX 870M and iTzZent for helping. Everything is good so far. I got 8105 GPU score in 3DMark 11, also 71.6 FPS in Tomb Raider at Ultra settings. The temp still doesn't exceed 87 celsius same as before! The performance is pretty same as desktop GTX 660 Ti.
  3. Can I flash vBios using nvflash under Windows's cmd? How reliable and safe is it compare to flash under DOS? See the instruction link: http://www.**************/t/1523391/easy-nvflash-guide-with-pictures-for-gtx-970-980 I don't have usb disk right now so if this method also works then I will go ahead and try it. Oh great. Overclock.net links are forbidden in here
  4. Thanks for the quick answer! That's wonderful, I am really excited about flashing this vBios to mine GPU too. I wasn't aware that GTX 870M still have headroom for that kind of OC. 6000 effective memory is pretty good. Does 1006 Mhz core clock frequence drop in certain games? I have this problem with original vBios but I think it has to related with boost feature so I don't think you have this problem because of disabled boost. Also, do you raise your power target limit or is it raised by default? I have throttling issues due to max TDP limit. GPU-z's PerfCap Reason shows that GPU throttles due to limited by total power limit (green lines).
  5. I have yet to flash vBios which Klem wrote or svl7's. Does Klem's vBios work well for you? Can you please upload your new GPU-z screenshoots? - - - Updated - - - I have yet to flash vBios which Klem wrote or svl7's. Does Klem's vBios work well for you? 6. slv7's OC Edition for GTX 870m doesn't work for you? I am curious because I have too MSI 3 GB.
  7. Does NVFlash compatible with Windows 7 UEFI? I see a lot of people changing UEFI to Legacy for vBios flash. So If I flash vBios under Legacy, will it still work under UEFI too?
  8. @AizenAwakened, I'd like to know that too. My guess is that it checks GPU temperature rather than Power Limit before GPU throttles when OCed. I did priorize temperature from both MSI Afterburner and Nvidia Inspector but I don't think it works because I still get throttle with OC due to max TDP limit (PerfCap Reason is green in GPU-Z) while the temps are 70-80 celsius.
  9. I have the same green line problem which indicates GPU is limited by TDP (power limit). I need unlocked vBios for that. I have MSI's GTX 870M. Could anyone please tell me which vBios I need to flash? I only want push Power limit little further, not push voltage.
  10. I raised memory clock from 1250 to 1350 MHz (actually from 2500 to 2700) but PerfCap Reason from GPU-Z indicates that my GPU's performance is capped because of tdp power limit. I believe it hits to 100 watt. How can I raise power limit of the GPU? It seems it is locked to %100 on MSI Afterburner and Evga Precision so I cannot change and raise it further.
  11. Hi. I was trying to overclock my MSI GTX 870m 3 gb. It is one of MSI's barebone actually. I raised core clock's boost 967 to 1005, it seems stable. I know by doing so it will effect maybe 1 or 2 fps gain. What about memory clock overclocking? I think this is the one which might give considerable boost. What is the most stable one as all in default state (voltage, power limit, base core clock etc.)? Thanks (btw, I cannot download svl7's vBios mod for Gtx 870m because of 5 post requirement )
