  1. You see i have a GT70 and the led in the power button shows what gpu is doing the work. Was thinking that AW has a similar system, but i guess not if your 770s are always running (mine is chilling most of the time).
  2. Some time ago in a website about phones and such, there was a topic on battery storage, something about having the battery stored when it's charge is ~40%. I tend to follow that theory and my 18month batery still holds quite well for me. Also batteries tend to heat the nb up while being charged (the electronics of the circuit have to dissipate their heat). So overall it's better to remove the battery while it's not being used (being charged for latter in the day or in use).
  3. Personally i see 2 options here: 1. Leave everything as is and use it for as long as posible. 2. Tear down the battery and take out it's circuit, then calculate the maximum power that a new stock battery can give to the nb while on nos and select a proper power source. Connect the power source to the battery circuit instead of cells and try. NOTE! I'm not held responsible if you try this and something for you fails. This is just a theory made up by a student of electronics in 5-10 min.
  4. Up 80 C temps are fine to me, anything above 81 is high and above 90 is dangerous. Note this is my opinion, i've had 2 laptops in the past 7 years and last i saw 80 C or similar was when the fan was clogged with dust to the point i had to wash the heat sinks with a brush.
  5. I've used ac mx2 on 2 machines to this date and i can assure it's a fine product, since my laptop (gt70 2oc) temperatures have stayed at 25-40 C (dedicated gpu is colder for a reason, and the igpu is overclocked a bit), ambient temperature is between 20 C and 25 C. On my old 1520 (8600m gt) i was able to game quite good and the gpu had an overclock +38-40% of stock values and artifacts were to be found on gta 4 only. Also temps were reasonably low, cpu up to 42 (damn t7250) while using chrome and gpu something mid 30s.
  6. @issdar Is the 770m set as a default gpu on your system? I'm asking because i want to flash my 770m with a modified bios and was wondering if the fact that the fact that intel gpu is set as default does anything. Also am using legacy mode in bios (yeah, it's old, but at the time that was the only known way for me to install win7)
  7. Hey guys, i'm a bit new and was wondering if there were any ways to prevent dust from clogging up the heatsinks or increasing the heat that is carried from the heatsink. On my old laptop (dell i1520) i used to clean mostly the gpu heatsink (since the gpu was removable with it) and had mx2 applied with phobya pads on the vram and southbridge chip(i think that's the term for it).
