  1. And also: What hardware settings do you use? Theres alot of hidden potential in the 650m if your willing to OC.
  2. If your looking for a great story I can recommend "The wolf among us", not exactly a shooter but still pretty brutal
  3. Far Cry 3 is amazing, nr 4 is great aswell though not as good imo. Hitman Absolution is also great and often dirt cheap .2 other games I really liked that are not really triple A titles where "The wolf among us" and "Lego Marvel superheros", great games I must say. Ofcourse for totally different reasons. All these games are often diret cheap on steam sience they are around 2 years old.
  4. The test i did with my cooler master showed 0-1 degree increase with the fans. The laptop stand in total had a quite nice effect of around a 5 degree decrease at high load. But that seems to be mostly thanks to the improved ventilation sience turning the fans on sometimes increased temps 1 degree. Maybe turbulence???
  5. I think its a great move with the graphics amplifier. You sort of get everything with alienware 13 + GA without clear sacrifices imo. Obviusly you would get better performance from a desktop or a protable desktop, but most of us want a really portable laptop and not all of us can afford multiple systems. So I think its a great setup. Makes the whole system so much more future proof with the GA.
  6. From my experience you can not look at the size of the vents and fans and draw a conclusion regarding the temps while for example gaming. So much more goes into it ie paste, piping to remove the heat, placement of the heat generating components in the laptop, power efficiency of the components etc... Though temps might be the same noise might differ. Personally I play with a small fan in my laptop atm. Keep temps fine but at a very high rev count = noise. What temps are considered safe are usually available through the manufacturer. Try a quick google search, often it will be very easy to find.
