  1. Hi there, this question interests me a lot! :-) I too am thinking of buying (you already bought a 970M) a GTX980M card to upgrade my Clevo P170EM. I googled the error 43, and various sites recommend to power down the computer completely, remove battery if in place. If didn't work, then uninstall the driver, remove the card. Place the card again and reinstall the driver. But i am very far from an expert on this, like i said, i too have various doubts to the corret process of getting a Nvidia GTX9XX card working in a Clevo P170EM. Best of luck, Rui
  2. Hi there, thanks. But for now i would prefer to avoid to upset PREMA for now :-) I saw at your post that you have a P170EM with GTX980M. In the meantime i sent an email to the german suplier that sells the GTX980M, and they replied saying that i need a UEFI Bios, that i already have (P170EM_17_12_PM_v2 PremaMod system bios installed), and a modded driver. Nothing more. I went to the laptopvideo2go site, and found out that they have the latest nvidia drivers with modded inf's. For example, if i download this driver v353.12 Windows 8 64bit | NVIDIA Mobile OEM - GeForce r352 series - LaptopVideo2Go with the modded inf by laptopvideo2go, would i be capable of using the 980M card on my laptop? I would not try to OC the card or anything, just using it in stock speed. Many thanks! Rui
  3. Hi there, thank you for your reply. Sorry for go digging this old post, but i still have the problem of wanting to upgrade my AMD 7970M to a Nvidia GTX 980M. I now more so because my AMD 7970M died :-( Like i said, i have a Clevo P170EM with the P170EM_17_12_PM_v2 PremaMod system bios installed. The chance of buying a Nvidia GTX 980M from Eurocom can't go forward because the company is from Canada, and i live in Portugal, where i would pay a enormous amount in import taxes if i buy the card from Eurocom or Mythlogic :-/ I found out a german supplier that sells the Nvidia GTX980M card, and since it is within the EU i don't pay any import taxes. But before i buy the card, i need to know if it would work with my laptop. If i install the card and flash it with your CLEVO_8GB_GTX980M_OC_PM_v1.1, will it work? I am gessing i need the v3b system BIOS, which isn't public yet, right? If i am gessing right, are there any timeframe for the release of the v3b system BIOS? Kind regards, thank you for all your hard work, Rui
  4. Hi all, one question: it is possible to make the 980M upgrade on a Clevo P170EM that comes with a AMD 7970M installed? I already have the P170EM_17_12_PM_v2 PremaMod system bios installed (and if i buy the 980M from Eurocom, from what i have been reading here, it comes already with a vBios prepared to my laptop, if not i should flash it with CLEVO_8GB_GTX980M_OC_PM_v1 graphics card bios) Many thanks!
  5. Hi there, i am new here so have a little patience if i am asking something stupid. Is it possible to upgrade a Clevo P170EM, with a AMD Enduro 7970M, to a Nvidia GTX 980M? Many thanks, regards
