  1. Hello everyone, I've MSI GE-60 I7 4700hq HM86 8 Ram igpu 4600hd dgpu Gtx 860m 2gb egpu PHANTOM Gtx 970 4gb PE4c 2.1 (mpcie) Power SUpplY 550w and I've a problem with fps in the games: they're not stable, they get down from 50fps to 10fps, then return to 50. I don't know why, Perhaps If I connect another mpcie x2 cable, will I solve the problem?
  2. Hello everyone, today I'm going to list you all the steps I made to do an eGPU, with a MSI gaming notebook. These are my features: MSI GE-60 I7 4700hq HM86 8 Ram igpu 4600hd dgpu Gtx 860m 2gb egpu PHANTOM Gtx 970 4gb PE4c 2.1 (mpcie) Power SUpplY 550w. At first, I had Windows 8.1 64bit, but I had some problems when I selected "disable dgpu" and it always gave me the same error: "DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE" so I decided to install Windows 7, infact I had no more problems and it went smoothly. So, I formatted my Hardisk on MBR format, to hold setup 1.3, then I linked the mpcie PM100C cable to the notebook wlan port and I run setup. This is what I've done step by step: 1.Setup 1.3 (Tech Inferno Fan) 2.Set port with eGPU to GEN 2 3.Endpoint set 3.8x gb from 4.0x 4.disable dgpu 5.ignore dgpu 6.compaction IGPU + eGPU 7.Chainload - test run(MBR) to win These are scores reached: Internal Display NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-4700HQ,Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MS-16GF External Display NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-4700HQ,Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MS-16GF I hope my esperience would be helpful.
  3. Hello, If I wanted to do a 2x link on PE4C 2.1, would I reach better performances, from 4gb to 8gb? Thanks
  4. I take this opportunity and ask for my last doubt. Why my card isn't detected when I put it on the msata port? I've a PC4E 2.1(mpcie). Thanks
  5. I thought that by doing so, I would have reached an higher speed. So, does it dipend only by changing from gen1 to gen2 to have 5gbts? I thought that endpoint would have change in that sense. I'll try to do a guide as clear as possible, my pleasure. Thank you
  6. Sorry if I expressed myself badly, I did the driving DSDT, using (DSDT EDITOR), but after the last step, there was written "succesfully completed" on prompt commands, then I went to check on management device if I had created large memory space, but no and then I restarted Windows, but it didn't start, so I had to do a hard repair. When it started I went to check again on the device manager and still nothing. I do not understand why I can't create it. I followed all steps without skipping one. With endpoint setted in 4:00 gb I reached 3DMark11 10860 on the internal display, and 12270 on the external one. I think that if I can successfully conclude this DSDT guide, I could achieve a better result by setting endpoint 52.xxgb. Windows 7 64-bit I7 4700hq 8 ram IGPU = hd 4600 dgpu = Gtx 860m eGPU = Gtx 970 (PC4E 2.1) mpcie Thank You
  7. Hello everyone I run driving DSDT for avero space 36bit setup on 1.3, but on the management device, you and I do not add anything when I restart the notebook I'm forced to reset the restart because problems do not understand what I did wrong I have done everything to letter, I would like to have more power on the band to operate better egpu (GTX 970) thanks to all
  8. hhello I too have a MSI GE60 but can not detect the graphics card as I do the setup 1.3? thanks
  9. thanks for the answer, and you just for a check but then if you put a gtx 970 I would not have problems with the detection of the card? windows 8.1 64-bit
  10. hi, I have a problem with the detection of the graphics card with a PE4C 2.1b with mPCIe adapter. I have a MSI GE60 dgpu 860m / egpu 9600gs. When I try to connect the 9600 is not detected, I have already tried to uninstall nvidia drivers but nothing. how can I fix this? thank you
  11. Thanks for answering me, i'm going to buy the PE4C v2.1 for my MSI GE-60, matched with a gtx 970. Hoping that everything will be fine.
  12. So, I would like to know which is better between EXP GDC v 7.0 (or Beast) and PE4C V2.1? Because on PE4C V2.1 (PCIe x16 Adapter) tells me that PE4C V2.1 is not compatible with the gtx 770 or gtx 970. What I'm supposed to do? Thank you for your patience.
  13. First of all, Thanks for the reply but I still doubt the EXP GDC 7.0 not the height of the other two ?
