Perfect!! installed GeForce 355.83 drivers in my m18x r1 with w7 and working fine, but still is not possible change to integrated graphic card... may be is not a mod drivers problem.

Running W7 with my m18x r1, using mod drivers GeForce 353.49 HF Win7/8.1, is it normal change to integrated graphic card, and when reboot does not change graphic card? Restarting system always still appears 780m. I'm doing something wrong, or graphic change is not allowed with these mod drivers? Thanks

For a new Nvidia card... new heatsink will be necessary... no?

I appreciate your advice, also yesterday in another foro read that with r1 this card not work 100% fine... so 780m is best option. By Price AMD HD8970M R9-M290X 4GB also seems a good option, but have not yet entirely clear if will work fine on my r1.

Hi J95, one question... Would upgrade my m18x r1 with gtx 780, I understand that with each new version of nvidia drivers, is necessary use a new "INF" modify file, which is created specifically for new version drivers.

Other question I have is that my currently left heatsink for my GPU (ATI 6990M), would be compatible with new NVIDIA or should need new one.

Hi guys, I want to upgrade my m18x r-1 with a gtx 880 but I have somequestions, I would appreciate the help of experienced forum. I don´t have much experience and my English is not too technical, so I do not understand 100% some explanations of this fórum. From what I've understood the steps are:<o:p></o:p> 1.- Installing card<o:p></o:p> 2.- Flash unlocket BIOS (actually Dell A05)<o:p></o:p> 3.- Disable HD audio<o:p></o:p> 4.- Disable onboard grahpic card<o:p></o:p> 5.- Install nvidia driver with the .ini mod<o:p></o:p> The first question I have is if absolutely necessary to update unlocket BIOSversion, and if I must also update the VBIOS as some people have done?<o:p></o:p>

Hello everyone (and sorry for my bad english), I'm new around here after discover this great forum looking information to upgrade my alienware. Also I´m thinking buy gtx 880m to upgrade my m18x r1, to tear dow the laptop no problem for me, bud have many doubts with drivers instalation after replacing new card. Don´t now if also must install mod bios (no overclocking need), or is enough installing new nvdia mod driver ?
