  1. If you'll use 1080p. Just because GTX 8xx series and 9xx series have released 7xx doesn't become outdated graphics card, I mean 780m is still a very good card, and you have sli config, so I'm pretty sure you'll be fine.
  2. I like their idea, but why can't just make PCI-E port on the laptop and plug a graphics on it? like a docking station, but PCI-E as connector So if you have your laptop hooked up with that giant eGPU, and then may be connect a 4K monitor, then what's the main difference from desktop? I was going to work on eGPU project, but I quit just because I found its much cheaper to build a small desktop and buy a cheap laptop.
  3. So, I know Clevo/Sager's sound cards care bad. I have Clevo P177SM-A/Sager NP8298 and I ran loop back test to see how it performs. Program: REW V5 At 70hz, there's almost no sound, and at 8khz or higher, it seems to be just a bunch of noise. Anybody else tried to run loopback test on sager? I really wounder how they would look like. By the way, I also attach raw measurement file. freqrespond.zip
  4. Extremely slow speed is one of symptoms of faulty SSD. Check your files and its name. Also back up all your files before anything happen. (I recommend backing up all your files using time machine. Also back up frequently.) Go to utilities and disk utility. Select your boot disk and click verify disk. When finished perform verify permission, too. Sometimes this will detect your problem and fix it. Good luck.
