780m is the better card, but depending on your gaming preferences, I went from a 6970m to a 7970m and the leap was massive. Easiest install ever, same thermal pads, brackets pretty much plug and play. Decent prices on ebay too, Just thought id share.

Does the Integrated graphics work now with 7970m in an m17x r3 ? I turned mine off but did like the battery boost the IG gave me
