LoL, community may treat you like garbage but it's overall a better experience if you are just starting out with the MOBA genre (lower learning curve vs Dota).

Windows because the computers that come with windows are generally cheaper and have specs that are on par with if not better than macs. And you can always hackintosh it like rekaf said.
