  1. Hi Prema! I might have to revert from your BIOS to my stock Firmware for the W650SJ, since I'm returning it to Sager. The original bios files for this model are not available on your website or on this thread. Should I use the file "B0306.zip" found on this site? : W65xSJ Series Should I modify / update EC first? The file mentionned above contains instructions to flash the BIOS, should I follow these? Happy new year, and thanks again =) EDIT : More info from the BIOS, which should help you answer ME FW Version : 9.1.2.1010 MB Series : W65_67SJ Bios Version : 1.03.06PM v1 KBC/EC Firmware Revision : 1.03.05 [in the bottom line of the screen] Version : 2.15.1236. Prema Mod (didn't note the rest, but you ask not to redistribute, etc.)
  2. I fixed it! I tried restoring all BIOS parameters to default and, as you suspected, it didn't fix the problem. I then disabled the permission to wake up the computer for every single network adapter I have, and that fixed it. Weird thing is, my computer would wake up even if the network switch was off. It would also wake up even when the user was logged off. Anyways, fixed for now!
  3. Sorry, I should have been more specific. It also happens when I press the power button to put it to sleep and leave it, lid open, on my desk. And my touchpad is disabled 100% of the time, I only use external mice. Would've been simpler this way...
  4. Hey Prema! So I've been using your bios for about 6 weeks now (W650SJ), and all seems good, except for one thing. When I close the laptop's lid, it goes to sleep, but sometimes wakes up within seconds. When I realise it turns back on, I usually try again a few times. Sometimes it finally goes to sleep, sometimes I have to shut it down instead. It happened a few times now that I put it in my backpack, only to find it very hot and out of battery when I take it out. It does that regardless of 1. the USB devices plugged in, 2. if it's on AC or on battery, 3. the Windows power plan that active (also resetted the power plans to default in Windows, to troubleshoot). I also tried closed background services and applications one by one until it does go to sleep. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I can't identify other settings or variables in Windows that could be doing that, and I'm wondering if it could be BIOS related. What do you think?
  5. Then you do not seem to have any problem. Any options that need to be disabled apparently are. Just go ahead and create the MS-DOS bootable USB disk (lookup the readme file), then reboot and flash away! Just make sure to follow every step carefully in the readme and on the first page, and you'll be fine. EDIT : Maybe enable Legacy USB
  6. First : what lead to this? Did you try flashing Prema's BIOS? If yes, up to which step did you get? If not, what happened?
  7. Hey Prema! Been running your BIOS on W650SJ since this morning and it's been awesome so far! I've searched the thread and saw you mentioning that "Charging is controlled by the EC, which I will no longer touch as the last one bricked my board". However, seeing it's been almost one year since that, I'll dare ask again I'd really love something like what Samsung did : a BIOS setting to limit the charge of the battery to X% (in their case, 80%). Another setting like "Start charging at X%" would be cool too. If you're not comfortable adding this to your BIOS, do you know where I should look or who could help me out? Thanks =D
