  1. I don't know if I'd say ridiculously short, but it is shorter than my W110er's cable. Not sure why that's the case, it's probably one of the most length-challenged cords I've had with a laptop.
  2. I have an Everki Beacon that I used for my Asus G73 and more recently my P170EM. Great backpack, stores quite a bit comfortably (I used the console sleeve to carry the power supply, beastly thing that it is). Then for my W110ER I use a couple of carriers: A Swissgear Synergy for trips, and a STM 15 Vertical bag for general use.
  3. I'm curious, after drying out did it ever power back on? Obviously a best case scenario would be that it's off when the water is spilled on it, but depending I've seen at least a few electronic devices survive an encounter with water (with care).
  4. Just from my own experiences, as well as lots of reading, I would probably stick to a lower end processor with laptops this small. Something like the 4700 is plenty powerful, and will put off less heat.
  5. I realize that the W110er is now a few generations behind, but still love this little beast. Like many others, I felt the screen quality left a lot to be desired, so thanks to this thread I decided to give the screen mod a try. For the record, I am using Prema's v3 bios (thanks Prema!) Ordered the LP116WH4(SL)(N2) along with the smaller left to right adapter, had some tape handy, and got a pack of velcro dots. Worked great! I had read in different places about people thinking velcro would be a good option, and it is. Very satisfied with the result. Still can't believe the colors, viewing angles, and brightness of this screen... and the matte is not grainy like it was on my P170EM. For the record, I did order from Laptopscreen.com
  6. That mod is insane... wonder how cool that thing runs?
  7. No, I've owned my w110er for over two years now and structurally it's still very sound. That vid is the first time I've seen that issue.
