  1. Hi, I really would like to buy your software but I have no idea if it’ll work with my hardware. Can it change underlying EFI settings via a BIOS CSM? If it can’t then I can’t use it with my mac mini, but maybe with my netbook (bog standard BIOS machine). The ethernet card is detected no problems at all in OSX and Win but the graphics card is completely missing from both, I think there’s a #PERST issue or full pci-e bus reset I need to deal with. Hardare = Mac Mini 1,1 (intel GMA945 chipset).First HDD = GPT/Hybrid MBR drive with OSX and (via rEFInd > Apple EFI-CSM BIOS > Win7 bootloader in Hybrid MBR > and 32bit Windows 10 (bootcamp) Second HDD (cd pata-to-sata hdd caddy) = Pure MBR drive (via Apple EFI-CSM BIOS > Win7 bootloader > Win10 64bit) m-pcie slot > BPlus P28S-P28F (PCI-Express to MiniCard Extender) > BitCoining PCI-E PCI Express 1x To 16x Adapter Riser Extension Card (powered by a modded xbox360 psu) > Gigabit Ethernet Card = Success. m-pcie slot > BPlus P28S-P28F (PCI-Express to MiniCard Extender) > BitCoining PCI-E PCI Express 1x To 16x Adapter Riser Extension Card (powered by a modded xbox360 psu) > Nvidia GTX750 = Fail. 2nd Hardware Samsung NC110 Atom Netbook (intel GMA950 chipset). m-pcie slot > BPlus P28S-P28F (PCI-Express to MiniCard Extender) > BitCoining PCI-E PCI Express 1x To 16x Adapter Riser Extension Card (powered by a modded xbox360 psu) > Gigabit Ethernet Card = Success. m-pcie slot > BPlus P28S-P28F (PCI-Express to MiniCard Extender) > BitCoining PCI-E PCI Express 1x To 16x Adapter Riser Extension Card (powered by a modded xbox360 psu) > Nvidia GTX750 =Fail. Is it worth me purchasing the software to chain load Win10 (I can install Win7 32 or 64 if necessary instead) or am I missing something else too? thingi
  2. Hi, I've just bought the following to upgrade my old Core2Duo / IntelGMA950 mac mini. A P28S-P28F (PCI-Express to MiniCard Extender) and a PCI-E PCI Express 1x To 16x Adapter Riser Extension Card With USB 3.0 Cable (which are usually used for bit coining with kick ass GPU's that need extra juice). The pcie riser is powered by a molex, I've got a spare atx psu but would rather use a 12v regulated power brick. I'm not sure if the molex 5v is used as a step-down to 3.3v for PCIe or if it's electrically 12v > 3.3v on the riser. I've read that GTX750's require 20A on an ATX psu 12v rail, but the max amps on the PCIe slot is 75w 12v @ 5.5A = 66W, The rest of the PCIe slot's ~10v is from the 3.3v. Do GTX750's use the 3.3v from PCIe, How many Amps do they really draw from a 12v rail (non-oc'ed and non-ti)? Will I need to either step down the 12v power brick to 5v too? Obviously an 80w+ regulated 12v 6amp power brick will supplement the mini's PSU but do I need to do something about the 5v / 3.3v supply (no sure if the mini can cope with the 3.3v power draw from it's m-PCIe slot). 3. I've just invested a ThunderTekPX and an Nvidia 750ti to be used with my 2012 mac mini. I know the 750ti drivers don't exist for osx yet but at least the card type is now listed in the current nvidia drivers. I bought the card because it's small and only 60w. I bought one with an additional six pin power connector even though any PCIe slot should be able to deliver 75w (I think the Firmtek psu only goes up to 34w which is naughty). So I don't have to use a powered PCIe x4 to x16 ribbon cable can I connect the 750ti directly to the enclosure (I don't mind opening the end of the x4 slot), then plug in my 60w molex power brick into the six pin connector on the gfx card. Would the 750ti card try to take 60w from the FirmTek PCIe slot before attempting to draw power from the six pin connector or would it be safe for the FirmTek's psu and draw as much power needed from the six pin header?
