  1. Still rocking my R3 after over 3 years. Holding out to upgrade to the R4 if Dell ever releases it! If not, there are many other alternatives in this form factor.
  2. eBay sellers often have m11x R3 motherboards with the i7 chip and often the 2gb 540m GPU attached for around $350. A steep cost for such a small upgrade, but you could probably sell your i5 board on eBay to help recoup some of that cost. I've also got the i5 model, and wish it had a little more umph.
  3. Debating giving this a try to bring my old R3 a little more 'modern' specs. Does anybody know if a 900p/1080p version exists that might be compatible for an experiment?
  4. Hoping to use this BIOS as soon as I get enough posts to give it a try. I'm currently on the modified A02 BIOS and can offer a little bit of help once I've given this modified A05 BIOS a try.
  5. I recently had a similar issue with my i5 variant that caused the CPU to never go above 1.4GHz (Stock). No turbo frequencies at all (Even in CPU-Z). I resolved the issue by resetting the BIOS to an older A04 BIOS. I'm not sure why the A05 BIOS has throttling issues with my system. It seems to work now.
  6. Just wanted to check in with my M11x R3 after over 3 years with it. With a scratched screen, missing keys, and missing rubber feet, the m11x still keep on kicking. The CPU is starting to show its age with it's low clock rate, but overall, it's a great laptop still. Anybody been able to find any good ways to eek some more performance out of this lappy?
  7. Been running Win 8.1 for a while now (since it came out) and love the performance I get on my i5 m11x R3.
