  1. have you thought about using acrylic instead of aluminium? Much easier to work with.
  2. how does this compare to the thunderbolt/hwtools pe4h solutions?
  3. gadgetmo, give it a shot and it should probably work - - - Updated - - - noric: it would take some actual effort, not sure if anyone is willing to do that without some $$$$
  4. "I'm in this same situation at the moment. I'm curious about why you chose the N140HGE-EAA over the B140HTN01.2. I'm about to pull the trigger on that 1080p B140HTN01.2 because I got unlucky with a very low quality panel on mine. Is there any important info I need to know (if you even remember from your search back in May) about the B140HTN01.2?" go ahead and get it. - - - Updated - - - - - - Updated - - - I noticed that it looks like there's a flap on the left side of the back of the Thundertek. 1. Is that actually a flap, or is it something else? 2. Would a power cable from a PSU fit through that way? It might, if not then some quick soldering would work. Just find the +12v/5v/GND rails from the PSU and solder it to the board (if not there is an adapter that can fit the flap).
  5. lenovo y series always OP. Try using craigslist and see if you can grab a good deal off of there. I got a y500 for $600 from craigslist, and I know in my area there were several ASUS gtx 460m for around $400
  6. +1 clevo/sager, price per performance ratio is unreal
  7. +1 macbook air. you can play league on the intel hd 3000 ha ha
  8. its like a lamborghini vs lamborghini LE......its still a lamborghini lol Depends on how much the price difference is, $100-200 worth upgrade, $500-$1000 more, not really.
  9. there is a vbios mod for the wifi card (y500). Honestly, I bought a y500 for $600 dollars (463 euro) and upgraded to SLI + + 16gb ram + 256gb ssd for a total of $840 (650 euro). The reason I chose 650m sli and not 755m sli is because I have ZERO overheating issues with the 650m sli. Later on I upgraded the wifi card to dual band, no problems since. BUT, if you are going to spend that much money, why not buy y50 ? it is gtx 860m (better than 755m sli), does not overheat and is sleeker?
  10. so I'm guessing this setup blows away any gtm sli setup (ex gtx 860m sli)? Lol i probably shouldn't ask.
