I would say you would be getting more trouble then it's worth as it doesn't work and you get no warranty. A key note in the description is that the seller states "I don't know if it can be fixed or not". They have some decent used laptops on amazon for 700ish if that is your game. Republic of gamers (aside from some having issues) and msi laptops are generally great -
i would say an audio technica ad700 with an add on mic.

i hate windows 8 because it just doesn't work with the Orochi in my experience. I have constant connection issues where I have to fight the machine to connect back to it. I did a clean install and I just cannot get the mouse to pair now. I do believe the problem to be linked to the fact that windows 8 has their own drivers for Bluetooth that messes with other hardware.
