  1. Hello, sorry if it's already here, but when switching to the svl7 vbios I accidentally deleted the stock vbios of my Dell gtx 860m. Can one of you post the stock bios for my 860m? Thanks.
  2. I'm using it right now! I just need new thermal paste. I'm considering Liquid Ultra.
  3. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but can the dual 330W supply mod work for the Alienware 17 (2013)? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. So I flashed my alienware gtx 860m vbios to the modified one and had fun! But then when I restarted my system, I couldn't change the settings whatsoever. I used to have it at +320 Mhz and +840 Mhz through Msi Afterburner and Nvidia Inspector, but now Msi Afterburner shows only stock 797 core clock and memory clock stuck at stock. Each time I move the slider to where it was before and click apply, it would just go back to stock. Same goes to Nvidia inspector for memory clock but not core clock. Help please!!! EDIT: I ran Msi Afterburner as admin and I can now set the core clock back to +320 Mhz but can't do anything about the memory clock. What's wrong with my VRAM? I also couldn't mess with voltage on Nvidia inspector EDIT AGAIN SORRY: Now I can set it to +320 MHz, +840 Mhz, and move voltage again. Weird. What was the anomaly that occurred with my system? Sorry if this was a stupid question. I'm new to all of this
  5. So if there's a dell 980m, I don't need an unlocked bios right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Will this fan mod work with the Alienware 17 (2013-2014)? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I have an Alienware 17 with a GTX 860m in it, and plan on upgrading my GPU in the future. I was searching the forums and saw that I need an unlocked bios to upgrade the GPU? Is that correct?
  8. I just got an Alienware 17 with an 860m. How long do you think it will last (playing games on at least HIGH 1080p ~40 fps) until it can't keep up with games anymore? Thanks
  9. I came to this forum because it provided information I found interesting, and because this forum helps me on narrowing down laptops I would want to purchase soon!
  10. I'd say no for now because there are still some gpus struggling with 1080p, how would it fare would 4k? Plus, 4k is relatively new which means it's pricey. Wait a few more years when 4k screens are much cheaper and when graphics hardware have finally caught up. It'd be worth the wait in my opinion:chuncky:
  11. Will the modded vbios found on this thread work for the Asus G750JS? I plan on getting one. Please let me know. Thank you EDIT: Got an Alienware 17 so nevermind
  12. Are the new Asus G750 models (JM, JS, JZ) able to use an eGPU? These models have optimus (iGPU). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Would the newer G750JM (860m) be able to use an eGPU just like your model? I'm asking because the newer models have optimus and I'm wondering if that adds any complication. I don't have one yet but am interested in buying one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
