  1. I still have this problem even with a powered riser I'm using a gigabyte 770 with the akitio box The only time I manage not to crash is when I lower gpu power to 95% and reduce clocks by 100mhz core and memory, as well as reduce my CPU power from 100 to 99% in the windows power options
  2. I meant if you use hdmi, having both audio and video stream through the gpu's hdmi port, so basically audio through thunderbolt
  3. Are you getting audio through your hdmi? I can't seem to get it to work
  4. I had windows 8.1 partitioned on a usb enclosure that I pulled out from a pc that had the gtx 770 installed already, so the drivers were installed automatically and I didnt have to do anything. When I boot from bootcamp however. I just get a black screen on both internal and external screens. I cant get the nvidia drivers preinstalled on the bootcamp OS because it wont read the gtx 770, and I don't have any idea if the card is working or not since the screen is black on both sides
  5. Yeah it's the MacBook without dedicated graphics. And the vendor is galaxy It worked fine with windows 8.1 with the nvidia drivers installed on a USB enclosure
  6. Hey Everyone, I'm using a gtx 770 molex riser 450w psu thunder box I installed windows 8.1 via bootcamp yet cannot seem to get it to show on my external monitor it stays completely black'' however when I used an external enclosure with windows 8.1 and nvidia driver installed on it it worked like gravy. How do I install the nvidia driver without having the card actually installed? Might there be another problem?
  7. Hey goalque, how did you install the drivers with no card plugged in? Thanks
  8. I have ordered all my parts, as well as a Galaxy 770. What is the OSX workaround for this setup? Goalque that setup looks stellar! I'm going to be tossing mine into a CM 120 Advanced Mini Itx Case. Can you tell me how you took out the AKITIO board of the enclosure??
  9. Thanks call! Kind of a bummer I can't use a 290.. It would've saved me a ton of money lol
  10. I'm using a late 2013 MacBook Pro 13inch, would this support windows 8 efi? And is your 280x unstable or running it via the Akitio is unstable?
  11. I'm really interested in this setup, I'm thinking my setup would be this: r9 290 (used for 250$) Akitio enclosure 240 with shipping Power supply 50$ ATX Power Supply Jumper 24 Pin No More Paperclips | eBay 20$ with shipping PCI Express PCIe 16x Riser Card Ribbon Extend Cable Molex Power Capacity Filter | eBay for just under 600$ Would this setup work? I'd buy it and test in the coming weeks. Please share your thoughts
