I don't have benchmarks to post from before upgrading, but I have played the same games before and after the upgrade to from 7 to10 and not noticed much difference on my aging MSI GT70-0NE. Definitely no performance hit. And I really like Windows 10 so far. I hated 8 and never upgraded. But I really like the UI overhaul in 10 so far, settings being split between control panel and settings panel is annoying and needs work, but I don't find it hard to quickly access anything. I LOVE the update to the command prompt and powershell (easier cut and paste + transparence). I like the notification panel. So far I don't regularly use to many modern apps, but I at least find them usable, whereas there were a headache on 8.

Well, I tried unlocking the bios for my GT70 myself (. 30U version) by changing all advanced settings to "user" but it does seem to have worked. Flashed ok, but still no advanced options. Looks just like the stock version.

I haven't installed a modified vbios yet, but I seem to have this issue, my GPU clock reads at 324 all the time in Afterburner and certain other monitoring software, but reads correctly in the Heaven benchmark and NvidiaInspector when under load. So I believe it's just an erroneous reading. Try a different monitoring software and see if it reads correctly.

Halt And Catch Fire. First season is on netflix. The show is amazing and received well by critics, but wasn't advertised well and has had poor ratings and is in danger of not being renewed.

I'm trying to learn more about getting better performance out of my MSI GT70 ONE. So far this has been a great resource. Thank you all for sharing your knowledge here!

I have a GT70 0NE-276US, and am trying to find a way to disable Optimus and use only the Nvidia video chip. I've been reading and reading, but I'm still not sure if this will help me. Can anyone confirm or deny the ability to force the use of either graphics chip after unlocking the BIOS?
