Sigh, Currently I'm having my m17x R2 gpus upgraded by Eurocom and they haven't been able to get much to work. Not the 880m, or the 780m, and the HD8970 (die cracks) and now the 680m in SLI. Guy's telling me that 1 680m works fine but once he does 2 and tries SLI, it doesn't work. Says he also tried HyperSLI. I don't have details yet about what 'doesn't work' means, but I thought I'd try to reach out to you guys to see if anyone here has ever gotten 2 680m gpus working w/SLI in an R2 and what you may have done to get it all working.

I was going to get an AMD HD8970m installed in my Alienware M17X R2 but the Eurocomm folks told me they stopped selling them for the M17X because the way the heat sinks are designed, the gpu die will crack and get ruined either during install or shortly thereafter. This match anyone else' experiences with these cards?

Oh, and in case anyone's wondering, Eurocom is telling me that the 880m also has the same problem.

Nevermind. I found Flingin's post. Guess it's not possible.

Has anyone gotten an M17x R2 working with a GTX 780m? Or two of them with SLI?
