I have to disagree. All of my intel Wifi cards I've ever had have been fantastic. The other manufacturers is where I run in to trouble. I now have a 510p, and the N series wifi I was getting ~100 mbps throughput, now with the new AC card I'm getting almost double that at 185mbps. No. The AC card is white listed and requires SVL7's bios mod in order to function.

I'm getting 13MB/s with it. The old intel I was getting 10MB/s. This is on an Asus RT-AC66U. To be honest, I expected more speed then that

My laptop functions 100% properly. I flashed modded 3.05 a day after release by svl7, put in the intel 7260 AC card the day after that and havnt looked back...

Finally someone else!!!! This is the same error I ran into! To solve it: Boot off your USB stick, and flash the 3.05 EC portion of the later steps. Then boot back in to windows and flash 2.07 BIOS. Then continue on with the 3.05 BIOS/EC flash steps.

Walkthrough of what worked for me. svl7, I know you cant test this since you dont have a y510, but this is what I had to do to make it work; (I was on 1.10 stock) 1) Updated to [O] 3.05 via exe. Worked 2) Made backup using provided exe. Worked. 3) Tried to flash to 2.07 with the exe, didnt work. Error message was about a wrong BIOS detected. After fiddling around I had to boot off the USB and run ec.bat, then boot back into windows and run the 2.07 exe. 4) After getting back on 2.07 I booted to USB, ran the bios.bat, and EC.bat (again) just to make sure. Both worked. 5) Rebooted, went into bios on a clearly modified 3.05 bios. woo-hoo! 6) Bought svl7 a beer

Then you have a beyond godly chip that some world record OCers would LOVE to get their hands on. How about some screen shots?

So, what does this mean in normal people speak towards a 3.05 whitelist bios? And, barring that is there a list of changes that 3.05 fixed that 2.07 doesnt have? IE: what do we lose by not being on 3.05?

Will this work if I downgrade to 2.07 from 3.05 to give you the results you're looking for?

The GTA4 port was much like every other console-to-PC port: Terrible. There have been very VERY few ports done properly, and most games that are done well are PC first to console ports. Unfortunately, the market for games is a lot greater on the console side (even more so now with super-franchise games like Halo, etc) so games are normally always console first. I believe The Witcher is probably one of the most outstanding PC to console ports, and should be an example to all developers of how it should be done. (and yes, I'm still going to buy GTA5, simply because I dont own a console )
