So I am thinking about upgrading the stock hdd to a ssd and was curious about my current read and write speeds. They seem alot lower than other benchmarks I have seen. Any help figuring out what may be wrong? Thanks in advance, Thanks.

I *have had my dvd drive *out for sometime because it busted and my warranty ran out. Balance wise its not too bad as the dvd drive isn't that heavy to begin with

Like others have said, cleaning out your fans will help a ton. I also use a laptop stand with a built in USB hub for my desk, Keeps the laptop cool, while allowing me to keep my mix amp and mouse plugged in and ready to go anytime I'm at my desk.

I have had my M14x R1 for about 3 years and have certainly gotten my money out of it. I would say go for a newer model obviously as my 555m is showing its age in recent games.

Im going to be doing this with a crucial MX100 256 GB is the coming weeks. Cant wait!
