Hi I had this problem before with AMD GPU, do you mind if I ask is your AMD purchased brand new or 2nd hand? From experience, the crash is due to a hardware problem, ie, something is wrong with the AMD GPU and not likely your BIOS / drivers. The problem arises either if purchased 2nd hand, someone been overclocking / overheating the card too much and caused a micro-fractures on the solders on the card / poor or absent electrical conductions...nothing you can do except get a replacement. If purchased new, most likely a poor batch of GPU / components on the card, again you will need to seek a replacement.

Theres a lot of variable as to why your laptop is getting so hot. I suspect the prime reason is because watch_dogs is a demanding game, I have watch_dogs too and I notice both my GPU + CPU temp rockets when I play the game also The best thing to do is prob raise the laptop up with some books to improve air flow or get a laptop stand with a built in fan. or reduce the in game quality setting to reduce heat output. I also suspect when you had your laptop new the ambient temperature were cooler than summer temps.

The intel cpu has built in throttle / shut down feature if its too hot...90C+ is defo on the hot side and I would suggest getting a laptop stand to cool the laptop down

The noise can be caused by the bearings inside the fan, so maybe replace the fan? aside from making sure there are no wires tangled

The reason you cant upgrade to 4th gen is cos of the number of physical socket pin, Haswell is 1150 socket as opposed to 1155 / 1156 socket in the previous generations

Alienware may be a better brand due to it being a long established company dedicated to gaming laptops / rigs. But your paying a premium for it
