  1. Here's a link to generic drivers. http://laptopvideo2go.com/drivers Just pick the one you need and replace the ini file as per the instructions.
  2. I recommend going through PowerNoteBooks... Scott and Zoltan know their stuff and are a pleasure to work with. The repairs cost are more reasonable than dealing with eBay directly. If they get a card and can't get it to work, you don't have to deal with the hassle of the return. I will buy from them again simply because of their amazing tech support. 3. Alas... My "refurbished" 680M died on me... Laptop is going back to the seller for a in warranty repair. Hopefully they can find me an MSI card and this will all be moot. If you do not mind me asking, where did you get and what 780M are you using? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Anyone? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yep clean as a whistle and reapplied thermal paste. The fan revs up to 100% with in a minute of boot up.
  6. Here's what GPU-z said that 770M was... Mind you, if I had installed the latest nvidia driver, my system would crash on me if I went into GPUZ
  7. I have a PowerPro R 12:17-675 (MSI 937-176252-025) from PowerNotebooks and I recently had them replace my fried GTX 675M with a GTX 680M (from Dell; this version has 2GB vRAM instead of the 4GB vRAM that comes with the MSI version).
  8. Good!! I was worried as I replied a while ago and was hoping to stop you. Unfortunately, being that I am a new member, my post have to be approved. Here's the actual card I sent back... I bought the card on eBay from blairsville-tech-support (my item 151285846218). They were super cool and really tried to help me get this working; they even sent me a different heatsinks to try. They're in Georgia, USA and I'd do business with them again. No pictures of the new one as it was installed by Powernotebooks
  9. So, I have a unique problem… I have a PowerPro R 12:17-675 (MSI 937-176252-025) from PowerNotebooks and I recently had them replace my fried GTX 675M with a GTX 680M (from Dell; this version has 2GB vRAM instead of the 4GB vRAM that comes with the MSI version). I am stoked with the performance gain and I am loving the upgrade, however… The fan controller seems to be disabled and my fan runs at 100% all the time. I assume this is because I am now using a GPU card intended for Dell and it was not set up to work with the MSI fan controller. According to PowerNotebooks, they did everything software related to get the fan under control without any luck. Is there anything I can do to get the Fan under control? Could using a tweaked/updated vBIOS help? Thank you -NoneCool
  10. I have the same laptop and I ordered the 770m on eBay. I got the MSI model and while my laptop saw and loaded the nvidia drivers just fine, the laptop would BSOD when every I tried playing a game. I couldn't tell you if the card was defective or not... Just that it wouldn't work. I have since got a 680M (the 2gb version from Dell) and it runs very nice, however the fan controller doesn't work
  11. I have an MSI GT70 0ND that I am getting fitted with an GTX 680m. Which vbios should I use for a first time attempt at overclocking? My laptop originally came with the GTX 675M.
  12. I too recently replaced my video card... however, my fan speed went to 100% while the GPU was out. It went back to normal once the new card was put back into the machine. Be nice to know if the speed could be controlled if I am unfortunate to have to replace my card again.
  13. I just upgraded my SSD to a Crucial MX100 256GB SATA 2.5" 7mm (with 9.5mm adapter) Internal Solid State Drive CT256MX100SSD1 My original SSD was a Kingston SSDNow V+200 90GB SATA III 6Gb/s 2.5 that I was using as a cache drive for my 7200rpm Harddirve. I opted for the Crucial as my main drive (some games and OS) and my harddrive for my media. Personally, the new SSD is fast enough for all my needs and the cost for storage is so cheap compared to two years ago.
