  1. I'm not too sure about the vBIOS flash but I would go to the notebookreview.com forum and ask anyone with the same Sager as u with the 8970M to dump their vBIOS with GPU-Z.. Go to their Sager forum and you should have someone who can do that.. Flash that vBIOS as it will be less likely that it will brick.

  2. I'm so excited for GTAV on pc. I've played through the console version a great many times, so im stoked to play it once more on my PC (With glorious master race PC Graphics). It would suck if the port sucked, like what they did with GTA IV.

I would be surprised if Rockstar repeated this farce again.... They have almost a year to port it so they better do a proper job...

  3. I know this a bit old but I've found something that might be useful.. after much research, I found the Asus MX239H monitor.. Its well built and looks great and has 2 HDMI ports, VGA, DVI and best of all IMO, it has great speakers for a monitor. Its AH-IPs with 5ms response time but the overall input lag is 10ms which is the sae as that for Asus VX238H which was the TN monitor with 1ms response time.

  4. I was told by some people that I would more likely find an answer by asking for someone named "SVL7" on this forum. I accidentally did bad vbios flash on my AW17x R3 on my newly bought gtx 765m (I learned not to mix up clevo and dell gpu's) and now starting with peg gives 8-beep no post (I assume no-post since blind flash doesn't work). Unfortunately, even before the bad vbios flash, booting in switchable graphics with the card in (works fine if it's out) causes the bios to freeze. Will work if I boot with igfx, but bios will not detect my card and neither will windows/nvflash.

As a separate question, is my a12 bios EFI?

Original Thread: Need Help Fixing GPU

You can try PMing him but I think you have soft bricked it... The only way might be to send the card to someone who has 18x R2 who can flash the proper vBIOS..

  5. I just found a serious problem with my M18x.

When ever i turn the SLI on and start to play for eg. Battlefield 4 (so it starts to use boths cards) my power brick just turns off!

So it seems like by GPU(2) has some fault or whatever, that turns the brick off.

Anyone knows what might be wrong?

    @EDIT

Just the same thing happened - without SLI ON!

So or my power brick could be broken or the GPU(1).

Could it be because of some power problems at the house? Or it's definitely hardware problem? Any ideas?

I think the most optimistic case would be the power brick is failing. I would try replacing it otherwise its the GPU or motherboard.

  6. 1. I think the issue might be the your not installing the drivers properly.. Ok run AMD driver uninstall utility and uninstall everything and even the Intel drivers. Run Driver Sweeper + CC Cleaner and remove traces of AMD drivers and registry entries.. Install the stock drivers and then install the drivers from this link with switchable graphics fix.

Modded Catalyst 14.6 RC2 (switchable graphics fix) - Guru3D.com Forums

You can extract the newest Intel drivers after downloading them and select the inf when installing through the device manager and you should have eveything working and up to date.

    2. Yes it will probably be the 780M..

  7. seems like the memory is not able to Overclock even on bios it doesnt change anything

XTU shows it at 1333Mhz which is wrong.

Anyone experience this? only the latest alienware 17/18 i believe

You need to have an extreme CPU to OC memory I believe. If u have a 4800MQ, u can increase the multipliers by 400MHz.
