1. OMG so sorry to hear that... I'm on 8.1 now and I'm planning on sticking with it... This is absurd... even the new driver did this? You do have a point about the POST etc.... Makes perfect sense to me... Just want a 2nd/3rd opinion on this from @J95 or @Mr.Fox... - - - Updated - - - OMG so sorry to hear that... I'm on 8.1 now and I'm planning on sticking with it... 2. Screen etc is fine luckily... That would have been really bad if it happened...Even worse then GPU brick IMO...
3. I don't really want to do that... That caused problems for me last time and reinserting the card was troublesome... I remember that when my 970M died, J95 told me to reseat it by removing just the 2 screws with heatsink in place along with fan (or without fan)... Also according to Mr Fox, rolling back BIOS is fine as long as A13 doesn't have a newer UEFI version then A11... otherwise you'd softbrick.. I know that UEFI was added to A09 from A08 and similar thing happened for A07 to A08 for M18x R2... Is this the case that A11/A13 are same UEFI version?
4. Do you mean a special vBIOS? I have no idea about doing anything about that... Wouldn't mind giving a beer or so if you could help me... Thanks, Tom
5. Prema my friend, It goes to 1.006V at the lowest amount... When I try to reduce to 1.0V still stays stuck at 1.006V.. I'm using EVGA Precision X.... No such problems when overvolting, that works fine... I thought this might be a problem with the old BIOS due to an inproper/not complete flash however this new BIOS has same problem...
6. Ok @J95, I'm going pluck up and try flashing this... Just one question... You said to remove the GPU by removing the 2 screws that hold it down and not remove heatsink etc... So basically I just keep the fan there where it always is in the heatsink and then just remove screws, turn over computer and start the process? If anyone else can help on this (which I am sure there are plenty, please do)... Just one last thing... I am really worried as my motherboard came with A12 when Dell replaced it... When I downgrade, it won't brick or anything right? That is really making me worry and has always stopped me from pulling the trigger... Is there anything I can do to make sure nothing goes wrong etc?
7. @Prema flashed your vBIOS... Voltage still sticks at 1.006V... My ASIC is 66.4% on this new card... old card was 64% and it still did 0.95V... I saw your post about the ASIC affecting voltages however when I checked voltage in GPU-Z, it said higher ASIC means lower stock voltage... So in that sense, shouldn't this range of 65-70% mean that the lower stock voltage is allowed? Not trying to argue or anything but can't anything be done about this? Higher voltages are straining my cooling system... temps are up like by 10C compared to my old card....
8. @Prema for your next version of Prema mod vBIOS can you please lower the stock voltage of 970M? 1.012V is too much.. My 970M can easily do less... Svl7s bios sets it to 0.95V.. Can you please reduce the voltage limit to that so if your cards can run at that you do so then...Thanks for your work Tom Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk

10. Indeed... From what I've read on NBR, these don't look to good but @J95 mod them plz As for unlocked BIOS, I have the procedure marked down and will try when I can... Just sorted out the root on my LG G4 so now I can listen to music properly with Viper4Android... This next I guess... - - - Updated - - - Indeed... 11. @J95 very off topic lol but what versions of Intel MEI are you using along with RST and Chipset software? I've updated the last 2 but the first one not too sure which is to be used... Would help if you could give ID/ links to versions for all 3.. Also must be the hundredth time I've asked but to flash unlocked A11, how would I do it? Do I just download the A11 from Dell website and downgrade from A13? Thing is my board came with A12... then do I make bootable drive and flash unlocked? Is there some safe way to do this? I really think that I need unlocked BIOS due to CPU throttle power limit which can only be removed there...
12. Yup it doesn't matter.. Flashed and everything was fine! Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
13. Sir Yes Sir! It seems that NVIDIA inspector fixes this core clock problem.. The Core OC is working although I am not too much of a fan of this GPU boost crap which wasn't there in svl7s bios version.. Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
14. Well the thing was it got flashed, I saw that run so I thought it's fine... Its working perfectly.. Do you suggest I reflash? Edit, Core clock OC doesn't seem to be applying.. Shall I refresh? Using EVGA Precision X.. memory OC works! Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
15. I didn't see any confirmation.. It flashed and terminated itself by the time I got back.. I enabled driver, rebooted and vbios seems to have flashed properly.. Its changed in GPU-Z and sliders are unlocked.. Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
16. Yup it worked.. Thanks.. Wipes sweat off head.. Now let's see how well this 970M works! Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
17. Ok you are 100% sure it won't brick or anything? I don't want more drama lol..
18. I've been trying to flash the new Prema unlocked vBIOS... I got this though before flashing... I aborted as a result but will this be ok? The Device Ids don't seem to match lol.. Don't want to end up bricking my GPU... Any idea @ Prema or anyone else?

Don't want to end up bricking my GPU... Does anyone have any idea about this? @J95, @thegh0sts Lee James Wood etc?
20. Got it installed and works great! Now need to flash unlocked vBIOS... any recommendations? I was using Svl7's however how is Premas? For example, Svl7 sets the boost clocks as standard clocks and for 970M, the voltage is set at 0.95V... my old card worked perfectly on these settings... How does Prema do it? any idea?
21. Ok Hidevolution accepted my RMA and they've sent out a new card.... Whole episode cost me $45 for shipping (had to pay $25 to and $20 from) but this should fix my problems... Hopefully should get by Friday... BTW @J95 any updates on this driver situation? Has NVIDIA done anything? Clearly 353.62 is screwed up killing Mr Foxs and other screens and probably killing my GPU...
22. Apologies have deleted that.. Hopefully it should be gone on your end.. Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
23. Wouldn't mind a 765M lol.. 7970M for cheap would be good but they ain't too cheap here lol.. If anyone has something they can spare let me know.. I'll be willing to pay full shipping... Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
24. No 770Ms.. All other ones are too expensive.. Lee James Wood, got any cheap cards like 7970M or something to let me go on for a while? Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
25. £235 which isn't cheap... Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
