  1. no luck here either, even upping it by 0.2 Mhz crashes my system
  2. nope, no delidding yet but as i said before, those 4.8 Ghz clocks were stable without throttling in firestrike but i have no idea how stable they actually are! ill have to do further / proper testing for that...
  3. oh yes, undervolting 980M would be brilliant indeed
  4. sounds like voodoo @Khenglish did u at least get the control back after resetting the value? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  5. isnt there also an option to set that spread spectrum in the premamod bios? maybe one could set it to a smaller calue to have less fluctuations Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  6. have u tried changing the bclk speed in the bios? its in the advanced / intel icc section also try and flash back to the stock bios to check and see if its really due to the premamod or not. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  7. try 1/2/3 sticks first and check if u can boot if thats not the case, it might just be a ram/system incompatibility, things like that happen sometimes...
  8. it indeed does help temps, got mine undervolted and it shaved a few degrees off load temps. what didnt help though, was undervolting system agent/digital io/analog io Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  9. it should, since all display output goes through the igpu in your case Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. if u used the core voltage offset for the -100mV u need to check both load and idle stability, since that offset will be applied to all cpu states (and thus different clocks with different voltages each). thus, leave ur machine overnight at idle and see if its still running the next morning. for load stability u can also use prime95 large fft test for minimum 20 min. 11. yep it was iirc altho i have no idea how stable it is at that setting, it was just sufficient for that firestrike run ive only tested the cpu up to 4.5 ghz primestable at a VID of 1.16V (which was also my thermal limit) i could possibly get it stable at 4.9ghz, but 5.0 is only good for validation i think. havent played around much at 4.5ghz+ yet though.... 12. single 980M 1416 core / 3016 vram 4790K 4.8 ghz all cores ram 2200 mhz 12-12-11-15-235 Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  13. funny, that was exactly what was going through my mind, thats why i was wondering if he was on an alienware Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  14. lol, i still remember my desktop from way back barely breaking 9000 points in 3dmark06, and now its being trumped by an igpu loving this haha Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  15. are u able to use the 330W brick to its full potential? also, what kind of oc are we talking about?
  16. what kinda machine are u sporting?

hm, isnt it possible to use 30/40 pin cables in a 50 pin connector? at least i thought it was... Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

    Bricked g751JT

isnt that tool officially supported by asus? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

    Bricked g751JT

depends how u implemented the gpu oc if it was just a software solution like nvidia inspector/msi afterburner etc and its not set to boot with the system then u should be fine. if, however, u set those clocks in the vbios of the card then theyll definitely notice them Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  20. ill look up my comparison post again if you like. the differences in gpu load and temps werent that big, but valley had a slight edge. edit: here u go - http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/official-clevo-p75xzm-batman-sager-np9752-owner%C2%B4s-lounge-welcome-to-the-batcave.767105/page-176#post-9924318 Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  21. funny, i compared heaven, firestrike and valley with maxxed out settings at max. resolution (2880x1620 in my case) and found that valley is the most demanding out of those three
  22. no worries there those are crazy temps though, at least as far as the 980M in the ZM series is concerned. even overclocked / overvolted to the max. im barely breaking 70C in unigine valley at 3K resolution....
  23. the thermal limit of the vbios is already at 87C.... Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  24. omg, that mustve been a TERRIBLE stock paste job
