  1. Man, these guys are brutal! What do you mean that you can't get to the installer page? You have to switch to legacy boot in your BIOS to get your Y400 to recognize the USB drive. Once you reboot go back into the BIOS and select your boot device (it will more than likely be the last device and will start with EFI (IE...EFI_Samsung_USB) Just use Unibeast from the TonyMac website to create your USB install with a retail version of OSX. If you have a Haswell processor your system will reboot as soon as you attempt to run your install. You will need to use a patched Kernel on your USB drive, then after you complete your install you will need to also patch the Kernel installed on your hard drive.
