  1. According to the how-to's yes, but why do you have two values to change? Normally it should only be one value.
  2. The instructions I came across said so. In most cases the number seems to be zero and this case is mentioned in the most how-to's, even Microsoft itself says so, but people annoted to just add 2. I would give it a try.
  3. Hello, I would like to know which changes have been done during the production time of the Y510P? Does anywhere exist a document with information about this issue? If not, could we probably put together all the things we found/figured out during searching for information? Changes/Variations I came across: GPU: GT 750M -> GT 755M BIOS: 1.x -> 2.07 -> 3.05 (3.07?) WLAN/BT-Card: Intel 2230 / Intel 7260 Has somebody further information/things to mention?
  4. Which version of the y510p do you have? Should be kind of new?
  5. Ah thanks for your answer. I just thought something went wrong. Wow, that means you check every single post made in nearly any thread here in the forum? Quite a lot work to do... :thumbs up:
  6. Hello, I found this forum via my search for things to change on my new Laptop... unfortunately there are things to do Greets S. P.S.: I have to ask, I answered a thread and it occured the message that a mod has to check this post before it will be displayed. Now if I check the thread nothing is displayed anymore (not even any message that I wrote an answer which has to be checked) does that mean it has been deleted or that it hasn't been checked yet?
  7. Normally it should be enough to just change/raise the value under the path HKEY_USERS\.Default\Control Panel\Keyboard by 2. The default number must be raised by 2 not only exchanged!
  8. @daggerNC: Did you figure out how to solve the problem, yet? Is it probably a problem caused by the exact kind of Intel 7260? I mean this exact kind of Rev/Version/... It shouldn't be a general problem with this card, otherweise a lot more people would mention it.
  9. Does anybody have further information on this issue? Under which circumstances does Lenovo equippe the Y510P with other WLAN-cards than the 2230? Does this happen by chance or depends it on the series? shmerlin
  10. Short annotation to the link posted above, thats just a Standard-China-HDD-Caddy labeled with another company name. When searching (for example) amazon you can find this Caddy at about half the price with shipping included. The brezel should fit also on the other ones, the front side is identical. The easiest way to find it would be to check the pics of the caddys, there are just about a handful of different versions. Mfg shmerlin
  11. Yes, of course there is a similar list: http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/ideapad_y410p_y510p_hmm.pdf Page 87 Point 12 There are several approved cards listed.
  12. Really? A 7260 is delivered as stock in your Y510P, are you sure? Has there been a revision of the Y510P in which the Cards were changed?
