Hey, I tried with a 750w and everything worked flawless, thanks for the advice!
-
The GPU has an extra power intake, what do you think about using one power source for the PE4H-EC2C-060B and another for the GPU? Could it cause some trouble?
-
I see, I´ll try and let you know how it worked. Thanks

Ok, I´ll get another one to try, anyway, do you think I can get that kind of problems with a 500w PSU?

Hi Sorry for bothering but I´ve got this gpu freezing-everything-blocking issue with an eGPU. The adapter is a PE4H-EC2C-060B and the GPU is a GeForce GTX660Ti. OS is Win 8.1. After freezing, usually while gaming, I take out and put the expresscard quickly and the eGPU recovers from the freeze. Here I have an AIDA64 report in case anyone is interested. https://mega.co.nz/#!FMpmwBbT!D-qXNdP06B4WYYuzNOH_P8h7ERXc1cne-ccPh-YiX2k

No overclocking, pcie is 1.1, problems I found with F1 2013 & 2014, CoD Ghosts...but not with PES 2015 or Kart Racing Pro. Anyway, I just found out something funny. Everything freezes, or I assume it does. If I take out the expresscard and quickly insert it again, the game crashes but the system is ok. Maybe it´s nothing but hope it can help to find what the problem is... thanks.

The whole computer freezes, and the monitor turns off. So far it happened with F1 2014, CoD Ghosts, but for example never with PES 2015 or Kart Racing Pro, which I think are technically inferior games. I have nothing extra, no overclocking, and the internal monitor is inactive. PCIe is 1.1 running at 2.5 g/s

Hi everyone I have a nVidia GTX 660 Ti with a PE4H-EC2C-060B , and got it working in win8 thanks to Nando´s help. Anyway, I see that in ocasions it gets the whole computer dead, depending on the game. I was thinking it may be because the computer´s pcie x1 is too slow for the amount of data, or maybe I should change the egpu settings or lower the gpu configuration. I already changed the PE4H´s jumper which bypasses the voltage comunication with the computer, so I don´t think that is the cause. I haven´t seen anything similar on the forums, anyone can help?

I tried, but it froze after showing me the next message: [dGPU] Attempt to disable x16 port [*setpci -s 0:0.0 54.b=0:2*] Other times it didn´t freeze, just didn´t turn the dGPU off. In these ocasions the only way I got something was with the demoted mode and compacting with the biggest of the three recommended modes, and closing unused bridges. Anyway, after that I tried to chainload and it freezed again. I don´t know if it helps.

I deleted the section but I still get the same error. Here´s the new diag file, in case something changed... https://mega.co.nz/#!AZABTAQR!MDCNaP71eWG1OWEEgggxGoBzmks62YutknnKF_dDPiU

Hey nando, thanks for answering. I couldn´t find the range you told me, nor any reference to the NVS2100. I uploaded the devcon.txt file, since it has some entries in spanish, I translated them for you. https://mega.co.nz/#!1YIAQbaB!BFv7HmU_dDlOuen9Fja0i6Kxuc9c1DBxKY618Y9jods Can it be this part? Hi again, sorry for the last post. I am trying to get DIY eGPU to work but I´m not able to get a succesful PCI compaction after getting an Error 12. I tried disabling the dGPU and PCI compacting iGPU + eGPU but I got a No Solution message. I tried using Windows 8 and disabling the internal GPU but didn´t make it either. Here I have the log file: https://mega.co.nz/#!IVQgjbga!2KOgDoM6khw_-arFxmMyQpEmwi6oKq-hzxocgFSmWSw My laptop is a Toshiba Tecra M11 8GB RAM with a nVidia NVS2100 GPU. I´ve got a PE4H adapter and a MSI R7700 Ati PCI card, both powered by an ATX power supply. Can anyone help me?

Hi I install the program correctly, I create the V: drive but when I reboot I can´t get to the eGPU setup I get the next error after I choose DIY eGPU 1.3 in the boot menu: Bad or missing command interpreter: \command.com /E:16384 /P/C Enter the full shell command line: Anyone can help? Thanks Solved - Caused by an unrelated issue. Tecra M11 - P4H4 - ATI 7700
