  1. You gotta find the pinout of the CMOS chip for your mobo then short the DATA pin to a ground when you boot.
  2. djustiz: you gotta navigate to where WinFlash is installed, hold Shift and right click anywhere in the folder, then choose Open Command Window Here Then type in: winflash /nodate It'll still give you an error in the program, but you are able to press Flash and reboot to have it reprogram the BIOS. This will allow you to re-flash an older BIOS. I literally just did this today about 2 hours ago on my friends laptop. Arise: Is this how you bypassed error 208 when using FPT?
  3. Hey guys, don't worry: I've taken care of EVERYTHING you need to know about OverClocking your ASUS G75VX Laptop. Just do a Google Search for these literal 3 words: "ASUS G75VX Unlock" to find my post on another forum, that apparently isn't allowed to be mentioned in any way what so ever. I hope you all enjoy what you are about to learn.
  4. If anyone else has an ASUS G75VX with an nVidia GTX 670MX, head over to my topic on just about everything you need to know about overclocking it: You'll need to do a Google Search for these 3 words exactly: "ASUS G75VX Unlock" to find my topic.

  6. In the 1st post of this topic, you indeed DID unlock the BIOS for additional menu options, I just want to know how you did that. The vBIOS is on this topic as well in like 3 different posts, but I want to know what did you change in order to unlock the limits. I would like to modify my vBIOS my self for custom limitations. I hope asking isn't against the rules as reading through 81 pages with 50 posts each have been people stating how to dump the BIOS, extract the vBIOS and how to insert the vBIOS back into the system BIOS and flash it back, what's missing is the other stuff Please let me know how you were able to achieve such god skills. P.S: I am aware that I will void my warranty and that if I mess up, I can permanently damage my laptop. I'm willing to go though all of that in the name of OVERCLOCKING POWER!!!
  7. Hey, so I have an ASUS G75VX and I've seen on multiple posts that the vBIOS has been unlocked, but all the links are dead / removed cause apparently the poster would rather not provide the link instead of just posting a disclaimer warning people to not use it if they don't know how to use it properly. Any ways, on top of getting the modified 88kb vBIOS file, I would also like to know how to unlock the system BIOS. I already have dumped the BIOS using FTK, but only the 32bit version while booted into MS-DOS, I found out through another post that I could also dump it using fptw64 and that dumped it as a .bin file, does .rom and .bin matter? Currently, using the 32 bit fptw under MS-DOS does give successful flashing, however I am not able to see the extra clock speeds in any program, I'm still locked to +135 on the GPU and +1000 on the memory. Am I able to flash the BIOS using the 64 bit fptw within windows? I know it's risky, but I'll make sure my battery is plugged in and I'll duct tape the charger to the port lol After getting an unlocked vBIOS, i would also like to know how to unlock the system bios. Again, working with the dumped rom file with the 32 bit fptw inside MS-DOS, I am able to open the .rom file inside AMIBCP and change settings from Default to USER. Is this all I need to do? Just the settings I want? Cause I've done this and I'm still not able to get extra options. I fell maybe that either the version of fptw or the 32 bit version under MS-DOS is causing this problem, which is why I want to flash within windows with the 64 bit version. I want EVERY single option available. Do I really need to go through all the options within AMIBCP or is there something I can hex edit lol Thank you all for your time.
  8. I have an ASUS G75VX with an nVidia GTX670MX I downloaded the AMIBCP (http://www.sendspace.com/file/owfsdf) and I changed the settings I want to be available from Default to USER but they aren't showing up still. Do I need to choose Supervisor or Extended User? Or do I have to do anything else that I missed? I used FTK (http://www.sendspace.com/folder/gszbrf) to dump and flash, and made a simple DOS USB drive (http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1726429 Step 4) fpt -d bios.rom -BIOS <-- Dump command fpt -f mod.rom -BOIS <-- Flash command
  9. That thread does NOT have a tutorial on how to dump your bios, open it in some program, find some values, change them to other values, save the modded BIOS file (from which you dumped), then flash it back. If it did, then we would stop posting threads asking for it, and replying to year old threads
  10. Is there any chance you guys can finally post the over-a-year old anticipation guide on how to dump your own BIOS, mod it with what ever program you need to mode it with, change what ever values you need to change in order to get the BIOS unlocked, then flash it back? It's that simple, please tell us what to use, what to look for, and how to do it. Also, add a disclaimer and warnings and video's , that way you can stop deleting files and tutorials if people DONT listen to them and brick their computers.
  11. I have the 40-pin layout on my motherboard. Is there any way I can solder on the 50-pin header and add any transistors, resistors, ect. in the appropriate places in order to get a 3D screen to work on my laptop? I plan on keeping this forever, so I definitely would LOVE to do this.
  12. I agree with alpinestar: NONE of the threads actually have a tutorial on how to dump your own BIOS, edit it, then reupload it. If we can get that tutorial, there wouldn't be soo many posts about it
  13. Where is the tutorial on how to make your own unlocked BIOS?
