  1. No complaints guys but I may be misunderstanding this 5 posts thing? I have been trying to get my five posts together and now have those 5 posts and am wondering when I am going to get the upgrade in order so I might be able to get the bios fix for my m14xr1? I guess I am having some of the same issues with the A08 bios intel rst is showing 3gbs and under the a05 I could not get my GT555m to stop yellow triangling or to get it to work. Any help or insight would help out I am just trying to use this for work and the faster it loads the faster I can get to doing my job. Like I said not complaining but I would like a clarification on the 5 posts or 5 quality posts as there are two statements on the site and like I said I do have 5 post well now 6?
  2. Alienware M14xr1 256 ssd Cruicial, Seagate 750 Gb came with it, 2nd gen Core i7 Quad, Intel 3000 gpu on board processor, Nvidia GT555M discreet, usb 3.0 2 on right, 1 usb 2.0 on left, I guess the best performance I have seen from this is encrypting a non system drive for backups of 4TB in just under 10 hours. - - - Updated - - - And my go to is a Mabook pro 13 mid 2009 ssd sata2 speeds running parallels just because we can! The ssd made it work better than new and the cloning process for the drive was flawless through Superduper. The nice thing with the MBP is that they used the same ram in the imacs of the same generation so when I upgraded I upgraded the wife's imac to 8gb. BTW the imac 21.5 second drive 1tb base processor for the late 2009's still runs decent may try a ssd upgrade if I dont look into a new mac pro. - - - Updated - - - And my go to is a Mabook pro 13 mid 2009 ssd sata2 speeds running parallels just because we can! 3. I try my best although I don't use my ALienware that often I have moved it to being my work computer as I can take it with me if needed in a pinch. Even though I usually will leave it plugged in if I am at risk of getting called away but for the most part I try to cycle that battery regularly.
  4. I did the same thing but with mine I had a Macbook pro 13 from 2009 that I had bought a data doubler without too much effort I just basically taped it in place although I did use the two screws for mounting the hdd from the alienware in the data doubler. but now the Crucial m4 is running nice with one caveat when installing the ssd please note: pull the other drive until you have recovered the ssd with the software you have on a recovery usb. Once you have installed windows then and only then add the second hard drive.
  5. Nice mod to get this working they way you were looking to. Nice solution and I may try in the near future!
  6. replied sweat baby Jasus in the stroller in the park those are nice numbers!
