maybe hardware problem..had same issue with dell inspiron 1500...

guys i have had this problem many times , solution is to install your bios again.i t will resolve the issue. keep installing if the sound doesn't come back on. I accidently did this the first time when i had this issue. now dell is aware about the problem and suggests the same in FAQ for M14X R2

hey guys , registered in this forum to get some expert opinion. Few months back my M14x has problems of overheating Gpu (almost 100 c). Culprit was dust deposits between heat sin and fan assembly. also while cleaning i got it repasted by Arctic silver -5.temp were fine (max 65 c) But 2 days back ,i started to hear fan noise again and noticed increase in fan speeds. after 10 min of gaming i get slowdowns ,stuttering which was fine earlier. did everything,cpu temp ok(72-73c)Gpu(max 65c) ok, repaired windows ,changed display drivers,changed bios , disbled and enabled turboboost and everything .still unable to understand. seems like gpu is downclocking ..but m not sure..pls help!!!

Hi guyz ,i have M14x R2 -6 gb I5 with GT 650-1 GB .for past few weeks i am getting crazy temps of GPu. While idling 65-70 c and while gaming 85-92c..(dark souls 2 and batman AO).i dont think they are normal. i managed to open base of m14x and clean out fans..no difference in temp.Turbo bost disabled.I have already ordered Arctic silver 5 for repaste....what kind of temp drops can i expect ..havenot checkerd CPu temps. its getting prettttty hot near vents area..please help!!!
