I have already had 3 monitors working on my M14xR1 with the GT555M 3GB though. Just plug one with the HDMI and the other one through VGA ports. the resolutions were 1366x768, 1920x1200, 1280x800. I'm sorry to hear your about your loss, I'm sure this m14x has a lot of value for you.

Hey guys! After 3 years owning my m14xR1 and after having my warranty end I decided to invest some money on my system and I upgraded it a bit. Corsair Vengeance Performance 16GB DDR3L Samsung EVO 500GB New Battery I couldn't recommend it more, the laptop works like a charm and the difference is incredible (considering you will spend less than $500). There is a benefit if you are using 3D Software that requires vast amounts of ram. Caching of particles is an example or caching of textures for rendering. Another good use is if you are planning on working on a really big canvas in Photoshop or on several big files at a time. For the regular use though, it is not really needed.
