  1. Yes, the reason they don't have the 4600 on board available as a choice is strictly because of the SLI config. When in SLI it's not even recognized by the laptop. I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to accomplish by disabling your on board, but wouldn't you just be able to go into the nVidia control panel and set global setting to use GT 750M only? Or am I overlooking something?
  2. Even with an 120w it would at least register if there wasn't a problem with the card itself, you just wouldn't be able to use it long before something fried or powered down. I know while I was waiting for my 170w to come in I was able to verify my ultrabay card worked using my 120 adapter.
  3. This is a very common issue with the ultrabay GPUs, Lenovo's products seem to be hit or miss all around. My 2nd GPU hardly ever goes above 80, but high 90s are reported by many users. If you are looking to repaste the GPU make sure you know what you are doing, as a poor paste job will most likely make things even worse. As Darkworld suggested have someone else who has knowledge do it for you if you feel uncomfortable doing it yourself.
  4. Hi I'm Jordan, an avid gamer and techie. Growing up the son of a computer technician in the 80s I've always been interested in mods and getting the most out of equipment. Good to find a board with some knowledgeable people.
