Can you try flashing the stock MSI BIOS from their website and then flashing the unlocked one? I've found that reflashing the same version without any physical changes to the BIOS will not cause it to be rewritten, regardless of what AFUDOS says. After flashing the new unlocked version, unplug your CMOS to clear the BIOS to default and the Chipset tab should appear. Edit: I have triple checked that Chipset and SA Config is unlocked. If you cannot get it to show up after doing what I wrote above, I can try another method. What settings were you looking for under SA Config? There is no difference in performance. You either flashed the wrong BIOS for your notebook or you're seeing things.

Grrr... My prospects are looking grimmer for the 680M in the 16F2. Worst case scenario is a Dell 680M 2GB card. Svl7, do you know if the Dell OC'ing lockout is vBIOS related? Could it be circumvented in a system other than an AW?

Yes and that is my current dilemma. Perhaps if I give it a couple months the choice will be clearer, but I can't stand the wait. This generation reminds me of the jump we saw from nvidia with the 7xxx to 8xxx. Such a massive increase in performance from both sides this time around though. Anyways, can't wait for Friday. Here's Eurocom's ebay. $790 + $25 shipping for the card alone. Stock vs. stock, it's debatable, the 680M is at most 10% better, while the 7970M is better at other things. Worth it for the price premium? Probably not. Overclocked and overvolted, the 680M hands down.

It just adds an option in the BIOS to set RAID if you ever need it. The only difference is, once you flash the BIOS you will need to set the SATA Mode back to AHCI or else the system will try to boot in RAID0. It's easier to unlock BIOS with RAID as many people have systems with RAID and having one for RAID and one without is pointless if you can just disable RAID.

Let's make a deal. You help me with XM OC'ing via TS by helping Kevin and I'll grab a 680M GTX once they aren't being gouged and confirmed working in the notebook. Then we can have some benching wars (David (16F2) vs. Goliath (M18x)). Currently, things don't look bright for the Clevo 680M in the 16F2. Although, I guess I could flash the MSI vBIOS and it might not have the Optimus problems? I'm still leaning towards the 7970M as it's soooo much cheaper.

680M GTX support just means it is based off the newest BIOS that added 680M GTX. If you have a 670M/675M this ROM will work for both as long as you flash the GT70 BIOS. I already have .30M unlocked which is the exact same as .10M, just with RAID support.

Good stuff, I loved it all. Can't say I can pick a favorite from any of the three, they we're all great.

My main genre is trance by far (vanilla trance). But, I do love: progressive, psy/acid, Balearic, uplifting, some EDM, etc. Basically, if it's a trance derivative that isn't straight club EDM, I like it. TBH, I've never heard of full-on before this. Only progressive psy.

I had the opportunity to see them last year. Guess it's a good thing I chose to study an extra day for finals over infected. I know, I have yet to join a server and not see at least one person get banned for aimbotting. I was 0-9 against a player in a jet one match, sniped 9 times on Caspian from his machine gun. Unbelievable. He ended up going 52-3 in a 600 ticket Conquest match and the admins played a blind eye because he was on their team.
