  1. I am experiencing an interesting issue. I am spontaneously getting a Video_TDR_Failure on NVLDDMKM.SYS BSOD. I could be browsing the web or just messing around in the OS and the OS will notify me that the kernel mode driver has stopped but has recovered and then BSOD and reboot. Happens completely at random. I already re-installed windows 10 and installed the latest driver. Optimus is working, everything is normal. I have a feeling it only happens when the webcam is enabled. If the webcam is disabled, it seems to never occur. Not sure what one has to do with the other. Any ideas?
  2. You are correct. Now I understand the instructions in the OP. "These vBIOS are only for the use of GTX9xxM in MSI GT60 & GT70 and NOT compatible with other models". When I read the warning originally, I thought it meant that this vbios was for the MSI 970M that came in the GT60/70, not for an upgraded Clevo card. Regardless, the vbios worked and I now have PNP driver capability and optimus works. UN-BE-LEIVABLE. So many sleepless nights trying to get this all to work in windows 7, now windows 10 and all it took was this vbios. Thank you, so very much.
  3. Hello, I assume that I cannot use this flash file if I have a Clevo(blue) mxm 970m 6gb in my MSI GT70 and instead I need to use the Clevo MXM flash?
  4. The information on the front page says the Turbo functionality is retained. I have a Turbo button my MSI GT70 and I flashed this Bios to a Clevo 970m. However, the card performs beautifully regardless. With the appropriate MSI VGA Tool installed, the turbo button does not work with this bios. Previously, I was able to either select enable/disable in the tool from the tray or press the turbo button, but that was with the old card. Just curious if the turbo functionality mentioned in the description is the same turbo functionality I am describing.
  5. For those that flashed SVL's rom to a Blue Clevo Card. How are you modifying the nvidia inf file to install the driver? I think I am doing something seriously wrong and getting blue screens. Thanks.
  6. This is what I get upon attempting to flash it: I am using MNVFlash. Should I just add the -o3 command and over ride it?
  7. What if I want to use Svl7's bios? I should have mentioned, I have that bios currently flashed. Is the one you linked for the 6gb version.
  8. I have a Clevo 970m in my GT70. When I first installed the card I had to fumble around with the INF file to get the nvidia driver installer to detect the card during installation. After a lot of trial and error got a working driver by modifying the strings in Section 27 because it seems most of the cards fall into that config, but I still feel that its not correct. This is the string I am using: %NVIDIA_DEV.13D8.110C.1462% = Section027, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D8&SUBSYS_110C1462 All the Clevo 970m's hardware id's should contain the 110C, and I assume thats a common one, but the stock driver does not have it. Seeing as how this is a pretty common card, I wanted to see if I am the only one having this issue and if I am not, does anyone have a link to the INF modification specifically for this card? Thank You
  9. If it helps. I flashed that clevo bios on my 670MX 3GB from MSI and it also complained about the version during the flash. I overrode the error and so far its been a month and change and all is well.
  10. I just wish they would share more information, instead Svet holds all the cards and charges for mods.
  11. In my case, on my GT70, the throttling is controlled by the embedded controller. I actually had to flash an EC firmware with throttling relaxed as any overclock was rendered useless pretty quickly. Now, if throttling occurs its, I think, at 87c. https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=162629.0 I am curious if the barebones EC firmware is any different or better than the unlocked one provided by MSI. Anyone here know how to modify EC firmware? Thanks for the clarification. I understand your point now.
  12. Prior to flashing I compared both bios' using Kepler Bios Tweaker and I noticed that line for line the MSI stock bios had more lines with higher voltages than the Clevo Bios. I attached my factory bios in an earlier post if you would like to review yourself. This does not seem true. I am running the kombustor burn-in side by side with GPUZ and pressing the turbo button does not affect the voltage. In fact it doesnt affect anything after I flashed the clevo bios. On the MSI bios I could use the turbo button to enable/disable the overclock but not anymore.
  13. Just wanted to say thanks to svl7 . I wound up flashing the Clevo 670MX 3G driver on top of my MSI card and it works flawlessly. Surprisingly well in fact. The card is not only faster(marginally but still faster) at the same clocks as the factory VBios but the best part is its running 10 degrees cooler. That means I can run it at higher clocks than before. I don't know if you will modify the MSI VBios I attached, but if you do i'll gladly test it for you. Thank you again. Edit: Just noticed something else, I dont need to press the turbo button anymore to enable the higher clocks. Whether on or off the clocks always reflect what I set in afterburner.
  14. Are you looking at the clocks at IDLE? Have you tried running GPUZ and Kombuster to check what the clocks are under load?
  15. I think you are getting a reading at IDLE. Start Afterburner and turn on the kombustor benchmark. Then look at what Nvidia inspector or GPUZ reports. Kombustor should also report the clocks you set.
