  1. no. no brick. it just wouldnt read the drives anymore. once i flashed back. they read and booted fine.
  2. going to flash this in a few minutes. edit: well that didnt turn out well.
  3. the only person i know that did that add on option rom was da_g, but haven't seen him in a very long while. he added 11.0 to a05 or so, way back...i think i tried it again, but it had issues so i re flashed back to a normal unlocked rom.
  4. when flashing these experimental bios files...you should not be over clocked on anything. heck...under clocking is a nice way to flash. along with running software with bios access....just an opinion... side note: so why no info on what's in the bios? just the major basics for now would be nice...

  6. . no R2 yet. even if i wanted one, the 680's are on hold. but you know me..im always curious to see how these things turn out! thanks brother unityole.
  7. running the extreme version of vantage and 3dmark11 will give you a pretty good feel of the cards potential (and that would be the extreme preset and not performance). add on top of that for gpu scores when using extreme cpus and high over clocks. and to be more to the point, quite using the points system and start using the actual fps it shows when finished. example: meaker lost to brian by 16 points on gpu? in reality...that's not a lost because the fps is dead even when you go back and look (speculating because i didn't go back and look yet). those fps translate in to gaming fps numbers. (planned gaming bench mark run) when doing mp, it will never be the same...because it's not just having the fastest setup on the planet to play...you also need the most stable connection...or in modern warfare 3 (mp) you need to be the guy in the middle, not the 4 bar or the 1 bar connection and you can still win using a budget notebook. might not look the best but they can sure up the fps by running some super low resolution. so do an extreme run of vantage and a extreme run of your favorite game and see if it really is "out dated" metro2033 would fit pretty good in there....so would gta4 no matter how one tries to come up with a system, there will always be people to complain about it. no matter how universal it may be.... so all you can do is grab some titles and let the masses make up their minds in the end....
  8. glad this worked...now waiting on that 4gb sli setup... side note: im pretty sure if you run sli/crossfire...you will need to switch back to auto mode. and im thinking fn+f7 should still work..... will have to cross that bridge when we come to it.
  9. try sg mode instead...see if this will allow you to use the igpu and show the dgpu as well... you shouldn't have to blind flash the m18x r1. you should be able to reboot it twice with the dgpu removed and then it should come back on. depends on what beeps you hear the first time.
  10. more ram if one is using something like vmware. and there is a speed difference between 1600 and 2133...not much but it's there. and programs seem a bit snappier....is how i would explain it. so i would go 16 gb at 2133 over the more ram...you can always add more later or upon need....
  11. back when killerinstinct notebooks had it's own forums. nothing here or on nbr.... that's right, i did start, but it seemed like there was no real benching interest so i think that's why i stopped.... but on a side note. way to put the smack down for alienware. (had to throw that in even though it's a clevo card) as for the other guys...not really sure why the no good feed back...this should be the soul mission...cracking the the limits of the card.....
  12. ok, it all makes sense now. yeah i had talked to marc about that long ago...i think i quit doing that after the killerinstinct notebook thread nonsesne. where benching turned hostile.
  13. wow, really. only 3 post in what like 1 year. lol. guess i was just reading allot then. lol so is that your record or jokers? or are you joker?
  14. and you have to wait for a mod before you can post as well? really?
  15. damn, wonder how i missed this thread. very funny indeed! side note. no clevo anything is running anything at 5 ghz. haha. too funny. side note. brian. that 2600k will run 5+ ghz on phase...i was running mine at 5.6 for the longest time. so that's just to say...you can run safely at 5ghz 24/7.
  16. Seen a few oem's under 700 bucks on ebay... 2920xm cpu | eBay
  17. to funny...that revision code is just a date code. all boards are exactly the same. but keep up the good work over here. side note: it is the gpu, but it's the crt circuit on the board. the problem is why does it zero out on some and and not all. zero out means it turns the fans off when it spikes. when the default value is suppose to be 100 percent fans. in the end, it can be both parts...crt circuit and mb bios ec code as a bad bit setting. but they are working on it.
