  1. Disregard my post above, I found my answer: Apparently the Intel 6235 is NOT on the bios whitelist. According to this the whitelist for the y510p really is limited, and I can see why people want to bypass it now
  2. Does anyone have a link to the actual network card whitelist for the y510p (3.05)? I bought an Intel 6235AN wireless card, and was wondering if its even necessary to unlock the bios first.
  3. Two options really, either find a network card (half-pcie) that is on the y510p whitelist already and install normally, or buy a blacklisted network card and modify the bios with the tools provided in svl7's post before installing. Oh, and im also assuming that a micro usb wifi dongle is completely out of the question. That would probably be the easiest route with little chance of real errors occurring. Good luck!
  4. Hello there. Another y510p power user here. Was always into computers and general electronics since I was little. So much so, that I am now currently enrolled as an Electrical Engineering over at my university! Hopefully I'll leave all the simple circuits behind and move onto something a bit more technical, VLSI perhaps? Wish me luck, and good luck to you all aswell!
