I have the y510p and I use the Coolermaster Notepal X3. It has a 200MM fan with variable speed dial and on/off switches for the fan and the (IMO) useless blue LED's. Also has a usb port to replace the one you lose to power the cooler. It's a nice cooler and is pretty much the exact same size as the y510p. The little cooling vents at the front are nice as they do indeed blow cool air on your hands or whatever appendage happens to be in front of it. I recline in a chair almost exclusively when I am on my laptop and the cooler sits well on my lap. As far as fan noise is concerned.....considering its a 200mm fan it is pretty quiet. When its on my lap I don't really even notice the fan spinning but when its on the table it seems to echo off the hard surface a bit more. It's not overwhelming by any means but is noticeable. Sorry I'm a bit late to the party but I figured I would throw my 2 cents in for future members.
