I limit it to 60fps and turn on vsync in WoW to stop tearing on my Y510p. On my desktop (GTX780) I let it run as fast as it wants in 3D mode.

Matte, definitely. I can't stand seeing stuff going on behind me. I have a Sony touchscreen that's glossy and it's constantly filthy, drives me crazy. My previous/other computers that have had glossy screens all got matte screen protectors put on them, including my much loved HP Touchsmart. My Y510p actually has a beautiful matte screen, one of the best I've ever had (and a host of non-screen issues as well).

I have a Y510p and put it in a Wenger sleeve and then in a Wenger laptop carrying case for a 17". I've dropped it twice with no damage (yes, I'm a klutz). I carry a power supply, Razer mouse and pad, long Ethernet cable and a bunch of screen wipes.
