Thanks joom00. I just flashed the ultrabay and sli is working fine for me too.

I just flashed the moded 1.10 bios and everything went great. I've seen posts asking about the new sli bios to work with windows 8.1, but no responces. For those of us who installed win 8.1, lenovo released a patched ultrabay bios to get sli working again. If we flash to the bios the slv7 created, we lose sli again. Could we get the new ultrabay bios from lenovo modded?

Hello, this is because secure boot only works with operating system that have a signed boot key. Some versions Ubuntu have this, and some don't. The ones that do are just a recommended key and may not boot on all systems. So to start most Linux distros, secure boot needs to be off.

I have the newegg version that came with the 24g cache drive, and it has the 750m sli. It is not available on the lenovo site though, i see only 755m versions on there.

The OP says that more tuning options are available in the graphics bioses, what options are these? Could we play with fan control or voltages?

There are also 2 m.2 drives available on newegg. They are priced a little higher, a little over $1/gb.
