  1. Welcome to the forum! I have 16GB of 1866mhz RAM in my R1 - I honestly doubt you'd notice a difference in the two when you're using it, but it was worth it to me to pay more to get what was at the time the fastest I could put in. I just upgraded from dual 6990s to 780s, but I will say my 6990s were doing great on the games I was playing (Battlefield 4, Bioshock Infinite, FFXIV being the most demanding I was playing - some Metro 2033 as well but not as much). Just felt like it was time to go for the upgrade.
  2. I have the M18xR1 with a 2920xm and 780m SLI - it runs with the 330w adapter, but I can not take full advantage of the CPU and GPUs with the single 330w. I have all the pieces for the dual adapter mod Mr. Fox developed, just need to set aside time to get it done. The benchmarks I've run since upgrading have shown that as I push the CPU and GPUs it gets starved for power, but the temps are still very good, so just need more juice! Edit to add: If you're planning to run stock and not benchmark - should be no problem, I don't see any issues with power demand at stock.
  3. Thanks for the detailed instructions and video Mr. Fox! I've ordered two 330w adapters, the bridge rectifier and will grab the rest of what I need from RS locally. Based on what I'm seeing on my M18xR1 (2920xm, 780m SLI) I'm pretty excited about seeing what this will let me do.
