  1. Welp. I recieved my laptop at long last. The AC version of Intel's 7260 card ain't whitelisted by default. So i downgraded my bios to 2.07, flashed the whitelist mod, and bam. Awesome speeds all around. The other day i got a 27.6MB/s download rate from Steam. On an N router, not even an AC one.
  2. So... The y510p has a M.2 form factor SSD, while the y500p has a mSATA form factor SSD, correct? Oh boy. Finding a replacement SSD with good speeds will be difficult then...
  3. Bluestacks actually work pretty darn well on older hardware too. I tried it on a 2nd gen i7, with a GeForce 540m. Everything was smooth as butter with the games i tried out. :3 So on the y510p it should be running smoothly as well.
  4. I doubt the graphics card has the power needed to output to three screens at once. Not many laptops do. I also believe it's a question of bandwidth.
  5. You have to change the directories, this is done using good ol' DOS commands like "cd" So for instance, if you saved it on your desktop, you'd do "cd C:\Users\[username]\Desktop\[folder you saved it in]\" and then just write out the name of the bat file and hit enter.
  6. Okay, so, from what i can gather from this thread, some of the 7260 AC cards are whitelisted, and some aren't. Does any of you guys know which are? Mainly asking because i should be recieving my y510p later today, and want to swap the wifi card immediately, and it would be nice if i could just do it without having to flash the BIOS first.
  7. Man. Poor GPU that has to run a 4K screen. It's gotta take some processing power to handle after all. Though... Having a 4K screen would be so awesome. Way better than my 1440p monitor.
