Thanks for the replies! Today I gave it a try with jessie. The installation runs fine, but booting in SLI didn't work with no desktop environment installed. So I just pulled one graphics card out. Booting to terminal works. After installing lightdm and mate it booted flawlessly with both cards (nouveau).

Hi, I once connected an external odd to my old Asus. It instantly powered off as there were a short circuit. From then on it automatically starts itself when I leave the power supply connected. It starts right after shutdown. If I unplug power supply everything is fine, but reconnecting it results in instant start. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this problem or where the problem might be? Thanks shyd

Hi guys, when I try to install debian wheezy on my Y510p everything installs fine using netinst.iso. But when I try to boot into desktop mode it hangs, whatever I do. Did anyone get debian booting properly? Thanks shyd

Hi, recently I bought a Y510p 59400120 with two 755m in it. When I use chrome and browse to model-kartei.de the bottom grey is flickering like hell. It doesn't happen in firefox though. If I remove one graphics card the problem is gone. Do you guys have the same problem and even a fix for that? Thanks shyd
