  1. Hey, ive had my m14x r2 for about 3-4 months. i wanted to get the most out of it, so i tweaking it with the turbo and the override. everything went fast and smooth, and it would normally run around 3190.0MHz, but for some reason recently it started turning off turbo mode more often and most sessions on the computer max it out around 2900 which is what it's supposed to max at with turbo off. anyone else finding it difficult to keep the system from overriding OCing?
  2. I have the issue of the entire audio card vanishing after some boot ups. i can only fix it by just by rebooting it a few times, but its really annoying/:
  3. Im new to this, but i know quite a bit about OCing now, and this is great! Before, i could only make the best out of my cpu by tweaking the turbo, but ill do more with this
  4. What i do myself is clean the heatsink once a month with the air duster cans, like everyone else. and i also never put my laptop on cloth or other things that may contain dust or lint that can get sucked up clogging air flow. with this, my comp runs fine under intense loads, never going above 90 Celsius. but at normal loads it stays well below 65. Edit: Ohhh and i forgot. i also use HWinfo to mod my fan speed on demand. so i can boost up the fan when i deem its necessary. you can also set fan speeds to variable temps.
  5. Most of the other members have already said it. The alienware m14x is impressive, even more with r2. It's the best laptop ive ever had, and it runs smoothly for very demanding applications and games. whats even more impressive is how cool it keeps itself.
  6. Hey guys, Im sheeq! im actually really new to OCing my systems. Right now i have an Alienware m14x r2 with the upgraded BIOS A11. I joined because for a while now, ive been messing around and OCing things on my own on research and intuition, but i think i can do way better with this forum. I use my laptop for intensive video editing, graphics editing, photo editing, music production, and all that good stuff. so i want to get the most out of this laptop. ive been Ocing my cpu, with turbo it runs at 3.30 but i want it to be smoother. and anything else that helps my computer process large amounts of video data files. hope this will help me
