A few years ago I had an Asus laptop and the customer service was a nightmare to try to replace the screen since the back lighting went out a few months after owning it. After that laptop I looked at various brands but after dealing with Dell through work and I came to really appreciate the warranty Dell has compared to other companies. But its all preference and one has to choose the lesser of all evils when it comes to warranty/customer service. The build quality on Alienware laptops is what also got me to purchase my various AW laptops over the years definitely alot better than most.

If Dell revived the M11x id definitely buy one. The screen resolution wouldnt have to be 1080p i'd settle for 1600x900 and a GT750m weighing in at 3-4 pounds would be perfect for me.

I still have an M11xR3, though ive passed it on to my son. Before i passed it on to him I took that thing with me on tons of business trips and never failed me once. Best laptop ive ever owned.

I have an M14xR2 and out of all the Alienware laptops ive owned this one has been pretty disheartening because of the throttling mainly. Had a reoccuring problem with the front grill light constantly going out and had Dell come out numerous times but it kept happening now i just turn off the lights unless i need the keyboard light for night typing. Loved my M11xR3 and M17xR3 though.

Ive repasted and keep mine on a Cooler Master cooler. Works great and haven't had any major issues with cooling other than the normal throttling issues sometimes.
