  1. So I went down to A05 and up to A10 unlocked just fine. Got into Windows, all well. Then I went back into the BIOS and disabled the integrated video card (wanted to run on only the ATI). Now I only get beeps on POST and no video. I tried removing the CMOS battery, no luck. How can I get out of this stuck beeping state?
  2. I was thinking of doing something like this because I have a Walmart bed tray with a "fan" hole already built in. I wasn't sure if it would actually change the temps much though because the vent design seems to push air out the rear pretty effectively if the laptop is on a flush surface. Think I might actually give this a shot now. - - - Updated - - - Jack, did you start work on that water cooled system? That sounds a bit intense for a laptop lol.
  3. If I need to revert from A09 stock, do I go to A05 stock or A05 modded first? I'd like to get up and running on the A09 modded so I can completely disable the IGFX because the dialog is so bloody annoying everytime I unplug. I already disabled the IGFX with F7 but apparently that isn't enough to "completely" hide it.
  4. Ouch on the temps. You likely fried a card and will need to get a complete replacement. "Technically" you could run cards to 100 deg before you start having meltdown concerns, but anything over 85 deg is generally considered bad. I've fried NVidia cards only being in the upper 80's, but those were the old G92 cores that were notorious for overheating and failing.
  5. It's definitely power-throttling, I had that problem in some games on my R1 and R2. Basically, the BIOS is throttling either the CPU or GPU when power consumption surpasses what the power brick is rated for. I used a Kill-A-Watt to verify it. You can use ThrottleStop to get around it. There are a bunch of threads you can Google rather than me get into specifics here on how to do it.
