So, the maximum I can go with my non-glossy matte screen is 83 Hz. At 84Hz, the screen goes dark and I have to put the computer into sleep and out or restart the system to get the monitor working again. Edit: The screen is the "new" matte LP156WF1-TLB2. Can't go beyond 83Hz point on this one either.

I am having trouble getting the right set of files to flash my GX740. I download the ms_gx740.zip file given by the OP, however the contents of the zip only show ms_gx740.rom to be present inside the zip. There is no AFUDOS.exe and update.bat inside the zip unlike the other laptop BIOS files that I checked. Am I doing something wrong or are some files missing inside the zip that has been uploaded? Thanks Edit: I looked into the AFUDOS.exe and update.bat from other laptop BIOS files and noticed that the CRC for the AFUDOS.exe is the same for all the different laptops. The update.bat file runs the AFUDOS.exe with the particular BIOS ROM file, i.e. AFUDOS ms_gx740.rom /p /b /n with AFUDOS from a different BIOS folder should give me the right flash? Can someone tell me if this will work or provide the right set of files in the zip to flash? I am hesitant to go ahead and flash with these files for the fear of bricking my laptop..

The developers commentary on the game has me especially excited. Can't wait for CD projekt Red to release Witcher 3 (and Cyberpunk 2077 at some point... when it is done).

I think it is not a very taxing game. I have a 3 year old 5870m and I am still able to crank settings to high (without turning on PhysX) and get 30-40 FPS. GPU usage varies but compared to something like AC Black Flag where my GPU was completely torn apart at even medium settings, I would say Arkham origins is not that much of a performance hog.

A not so well known indie game that I really loved was to the moon. Excellent storyline though gameplay is ok. Others that I always recommend to people are Mass Effect series, Batman Arkham series, Torchlight, Dragon age and Elder scrolls series.
