  1. He was kind enough to email me the files in late November. I would love to get a modded BIOS for version 3.05 for the Y510p SLI. I replied to his email and send him my BIOS dump. Maybe he will respond.
  2. Hmm, a skin for the trackpad might be an interesting option. I too do not like how flimsy it is. I'm not a fan of the one piece design. I prefer 2 separate buttons.
  3. Is it just me, or does there seem to be a lot of vapor-hardware accessories for the Y410/Y510? I also noticed on my screen saver, that it says that they keyboard is "dual-coloured backlit". yeah right. If they consider the 2 different brightness levels 2 different colors, then I guess they are right. Something tells me that I'll never see an Ultrabay nVidia Card GT755m.
  4. I would also like to know that answer. I've got another laptop with the 2230 wifi, and it seems a little better. I think it may just be a combination of drivers and card. Sometimes I've found that older drivers work better. But good luck getting it all to work with your WiDi (if you use that).
  5. I'm a fan of Windows 8 and 8.1. I was surprised that Lenovo put the stupid pokki start menu app on there though. I quickly removed it and installed ClassicShell.net. It is great if anyone wants to have their old Windows 7 start menu back.
  6. I just got my Y410P. Great machine. Touch pad is cheap though. Replaced the HDD with an SSD. Everything is great. Now I'm learning that I need to flash the BIOS just so I can upgrade my WiFi card. How ridiculous. What does Lenovo really think they are helping by preventing you from using different wireless cards?
