  1. Try again but this time (Download) Open and Run IdeaFAN first, and manually start the FAN. After this, try using your normal GPU and Memory settings/clocks.
  2. After you flash the modded bios then you can use AMD eGPUs.
  3. Cable arrived. I attached some pictures (box and cable) . I tested it and it works perfectly! P.S.: This is the 25cm version. https://prnt.sc/km4wyc
  4. I bought that one, just waiting for it to arrive, I'll let you know if it works or not. EDIT: I actually bought the 25cm version. Same brand though. I will post after I test it.
  5. I have a Radeon RX 580. I will post the result as soon as I receive the adapter.
  6. Thanks for the information because I wasn't sure about that. The Ultrabay is the definite way to go, no doubt on that.
  7. If I'm not mistaken, your best bet would be to get the one with NGFF M.2 to achieve PCIe x4 connection/transfer data rate.
  8. That's all I wanted to know. @gerald PM me. Thanks for letting us know @skavi
  9. The delay switches don't seem to work at all. I have the EXP GDC v8.3 <-- I've "read" somewhere in the forums about that version being the cheapest, which means is missing a few connections here and there, I think is "fixable" tho.
  10. Hello @Tech Inferno Fan Thank you for developing such a great piece of software. I've seen many people achieveing their goals thanks to it. I bought your software yesterday hoping I was going to be able to use my Lenovo G505S (A8 AMD w/ single Radeon HD 8550G) with both the internal gpu and the eGPU adapter (EXP GDC v8) running at the same time because I need to use my multimonitor setup not only to play but to work as well, which I can do without the egpu plugged ofc. So after I booted up my eGPU and turned my laptop on, all the graphical output was directed to the eGPU as if it was the only GPU available/detected. After the BIOS screen, an immediate crash regarding ACPI_BIOS_ERROR. Did a bit of research, tried changing lots of options to no available. Wouldn't work. Still the same error everytime. My BIOS has Whitelist removed, even the Advanced Menu unlocked. But the software wouldn't work as intended (because of the BIOS itself it seems) so I unplugged the eGPU, purchased and installed your software and tried again. Same result, every time I plug my eGPU it shows as if the eGPU now becomes the dGPU according to diy egpu setup 1.3 (doesn't detect the internal gpu) and if I tried to boot into Windows, it would just crash again. I was unable to turn it into a hybrid graphics mode. My research didn't give good results Sad it didn't work for me. My only alternative is using coreboot bios, but then I wouldn't need diy egpu setup because I have tested it.
  11. Hey @gerald I've noticed you couldn't fund your project and that's sad, I know many would have wanted to buy this adapter. Is there any way you could still sell these? I'm interested. Thanks!
  12. If what you want is to add a second HDD or SSD, I bought this one for my Y410p: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FWOR638 the only negative thing I found was that it didn't come with a faceplate, so you would have to remove the DVD-ROM faceplate and install it on the caddy. Else If what you want is to add another graphics card, try reading this forum thread> http://forum.techinferno.com/lenovo-ibm/6151-where-can-we-buy-ultrabay-y410p.html so we don't end up creating it all over again. Hope this helps!
  13. I believe Y410P only uses M4 Ultrabay, I may be wrong. Proof that Y410P GT750M4P / GT755M4P Ultrabay exists is here: Y410p Removable Graphics GT750M4P | 888016118 | Lenovo | (VN) and here Graphics Cards | Lenovo | (VN) also here http://go.redirectingat.com/?id=525X832&site=notebookreview.com&xs=1&isjs=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Foutlet.lenovo.com%2FSEUILibrary%2Fcontroller%2Fe%2Foutlet_us%2FLenovoPortal%2Fen_US%2Fcatalog.workflow%3Ashow-category-with-items%3Fcategory-id%3DC81C5BB51B21465D96C353CC4CEF4801%26%26page-size%3D500&xguid=aecb8c6f4a5e65c35ec24a6929f5db2a&xcreo=0&sref=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.notebookreview.com%2Fideapad-essential%2F736305-y410p-sli-purchase-2.html&pref=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.notebookreview.com%2Fideapad-essential%2F736305-y410p-sli-purchase-3.html&xtz=240&abp=1. You'll see they are still not for sale (at the moment of this writing), but there are people that bought them from Malaysia distributors and such.
  14. I have a question about the bios version. My IdeaPad Y410p bios version is 2.07. Is it harmless to flash an older version ? (1.10) or would it have any negative effect regarding the hardware, for example earlier Y410p came with the GT750M but mine I bought in november and came wit hthe GT755M. I just want to unlock the bios features and maybe push a little bit the GPU
  15. I would like to try OSX as well, I got the iatkos ML3 UEFI version, waiting to be flashed to a usb stick.
